Chapter One
Here at Nazarath, the people of 3,000 like to keep most everything to themselves. Who wouldn’t want to when you live in the middle of a forest 1,000 miles in diameter? A man named James is about to experience the time of his life. Actually, it all depends on who you ask. To most people, going through the initiation to be king would be a
phenomenal experience. But to others, like James’ Big brother Spencer, an initiation would be a total waste of time.
“You are just wasting your time on that whole initiation thing, Dad doesn’t really care if you actually succeed, and he just wants to see if you are even capable.” Spencer explained!
James responded quickly, “I disagree, dad wants me to be king, I know it, and he is doing this so that he knows I’m ready.” “Mmhhmmmmm….” “Watch I will prove you wrong, dad does care about me.” James exclaimed James and Spencer proceeded to find their dad. They walked down their floor, floor 23, all the way to the bottom. They left and went outside. It was a very sunny day out today, “I will prove him wrong!” James softly mumbled. But somehow, someway, Spencer’s ears could hear it, “We will see about that.”
They proceeded through the path all the way to their dad’s house. Spencer walked up to the door, but then James hurried up and knocked on the door before Spencer could get his hand up to the door bell. No one answered. James just barged in, you could tell he was in a needy hurry, and rushed around the house looking for his dad. He walked around the whole first floor and saw no sign of his dad, Harry. He then walked up the stairs to the 2nd and final floor.
There was his dad. Sitting on his couch, no, laying on his couch as if he had no color in his pale, white skin, no heart beat, no sign of life. James rushed over to his father. “Dad…..Dad are you alright.”
The big gulp of air sent relief throughout the room. “Son, I need you to do me something.” “Yes dad, anything tells me!” James replied with no hesitation.
“I need you to go to Yumazandra, I need you to go to Yumazandra and get me some medicine so I can live.” “Tell where and what and I am gone by tonight.” James quickly, responded.
Harry Squeezed out a few more words, “Its not just any medicine though son, the medicine is a rare and dangerous medicine to encounter, it is a medicine that is within a Cyclops’s eye. The only one around here is on the Northeast edge of the forest, about 800 miles.”
James said, “OK Dad, I will go and get it, I will get it now for you, I won’t let you down.”
“Good luck son!”
James ran downstairs, and Spencer was there. James told him everything that happened, and to James’ surprise, Spencer Vouched to go with him. Both of them decided that it wasn’t safe to go all that way with just them to so they rushed to their newspaper store and told them to assemble a gathering at the grounds to see who else would go with both Spencer and James to find the Cyclops eye in Yumazandra.
At about 4 o’clock, the assembly was starting. James walked up all the way to the highest point in the stadium, where the intercom was, and started to speak, “ To all of you in Nazarath, If you haven’t already found out, my father, your king, is very ill.” gasps came from the crowd. “I and my brother, Spencer, are going to Yumazandra to go and get the medicine for him. The medicine that we need to receive is that inside of a Cyclops eye. I need to know who is willing to go with us.”
4 brave people walked down to the middle of the stadium.
“OK, you 4 people will go with me and my brother to Yumazandra. Meet me at floor 22 room 2208. Stay there and I will meet you. Thank you everyone for your time and please pray for my father, goodbye.”
The two brothers headed off, heads down, hearts drooping, and happiness flushed.
Later that night, when both Spencer and James got back to their room, the four men, as they were told, appeared at their door not but 10 minutes afterwards. “OK now that you four are here” James announced, “Let’s get started with the plan. First off we need to all get to know each other in order to work together on this quest, because as you all may already know, it will be a vigorous, brutal, and heart aching experience throughout the time. So, let’s start with you.”
The only man that had a beard, and not to mention a long one, stood up. “My name is Joseph.” “And why did you decide to walk to the middle of the stadium?”
“I did it, well I did it because I know what you are going through, I understand how it is be losing a loved one, the pain is terrible, heart aching, it’s as if your loved one dies, you will have nothing to live for.” the red headed man sat down. “Ok then, you 3 what about your story, why did you decide to join?” James waited patiently with content.
All 3 of the men stood up at the same time, as if they were all tide to the same string, “ We came up because we think we are the toughest, wittiest, and best looking of all the men in this kingdom!” they all sat down in the same orderly fashion as they had stood up. “Alright then, well I hope you 3 are right.” James said with total sarcasm as he looked at Spencer and snuck a giggle. “We will leave at dawn, we will first stop at my father’s house, get the map to Yumazandra, and we will be on our way, I will warn you all now, you chose to come, you will most likely pay the consequences, but, in the end it will be all worth it. We will be heroes. There will be many challenges, and difficulties, but together we will concur them. Everyone get good sleep tonight, we have a long day ahead of us.” All of the men stood up and exited the room without looking back.
James and Spencer went to their beds and went to sleep. But for some reason, James couldn’t get to sleep, he didn’t know if it was because of his father, because of all the pressure, of excitement? Whatever it was, it was stopping him from sleeping. After three hours of thoughts going through his head, he finally fell asleep.
Dawn came, and just as they all had planned, they met in James’ room. There is where they started their preparation. They all decided that they only were going to bring enough supplies, like food and water that they could fit into a backpack.
After they got their supplies together they then proceeded to head down to the Kings house. This time, instead of just James going to talk to his father, all six men followed him. They marched up to the 2nd floor, where James last found his dad, and sure enough there was the King, lying on the couch as if he never moved since the day before. All 6 of them walked up to his father and surrounded him.
James put his hand on his father’s chest, “Dad, wake up, I am here and ready to go to Yumazandra. I have others with me; it’s not going to only be me and Spencer Dad, There are others.” His father’s eyes squinted open, “oh, oh my son, who are they?” “They are the others that are going with me that one is Joseph.” He pointed to the red headed man, Joseph smiled at the king, “And these three.” James gave a little giggle, “These three are the three amigos. His father grinned, “I am proud of you son, there is where the map lies. There in the drawer, I need you to be back in a month, if you’re not here by then, I will just have to let go son!”
James went tense, “Don’t worry father, I won’t let you down.”
All of the men exited the room, went down the stairs and left the house. And off they were, exiting off the Northeastern path and then, there was no turning back. By the time they got to the path it was 7:30. As they got about 3 miles in, the 3 men had to make a remark, “This isn’t that bad, this whole thing will be a breeze we will be there and back in no time!” “I wouldn’t judge a book by its cover, we are only 3 miles out of town, and there will be no dangers for another 10 or 15. Before we even get close to that, we need to make our weapons.” said James. “Way ahead of you buddy.” Joseph exclaimed as he opened his backpack, “Unlike you guys I not only put food and water in my back pack, but I got us all pistols, and we each get 100 bullets, make it last guys.” Joseph started to pass out the guns to each person, and each person was even more fascinated. “How did you get these?” asked Spencer.
“We don’t really need guns, we can kill with our bare hands, but, these will be our backup weapons.” James stared with fascination, “How did you manage to get your hands on these?” “Well, I guess none of you guys knew I was a blacksmith. All night last night, instead of sleeping I decided to make us all pistols and ammunition. There isn’t much but it’s better than nothing.
Each person gave him a nod and then proceeded in breaking branches off the trees to make spears. Then they headed on. After about 10 more miles Spencer caught a glimpse of something out of the corner of his eye. He spotted Breakfast. Over past Spencer’s left about 100 feet was an Ork. Big, blue, and full grown. All of the men stopped in their steps. “What do you see?” James questioned. “It’s an Ork, right to my left, don’t move to fast it might spot us,” all of the men lowered their elevation until they were on their bellies. “Who’s taking the shot?”
Like a rush of buffalo, three men stood up and blurted out, “I will, I will, I got the shot!”
The Ork had spotted them, it sprinted towards them eying on just the three men. It was not but 20 feet from the three men when James quickly pulled out his gun, aimed it right at the Ork’s mouth, its weak spot, and fired. One shot and the Ork dropped. “You guys could have been killed, you need to not be so eager, and be more careful, the next time that happens, I am not saving you and you three will die.”
Spencer, James, and Joseph gave them a sneer and walked away. Chapter Two
James was mad. The three of them almost got James, Spencer, and Joseph killed, not to mention them. James knew they needed to talk about this incident before it happens once again, little did he know that he would almost cost them their life’s, again. “You three almost killed us! What were you thinking?!” Exclaimed James as all the air escaped from his body as he yells. His dirty blonde hair flowed down in the wind as his face turned bright red his dark green eyes were practically on fire. “We were trying to save everybody’s lives!” They answered in unison as if they where robots. They each had chiseled bodies, with dark brown hair that went shoulder length; they each had different shades of blue eyes. One light, one medium, and one dark that glistened when they talked, they were perfect identical triplets. “Next time one person shouts, not three, and NO SUDDEN MOVMENTS!” James was furious, his face redder than before, but he had no clue why he yelled so loud, he was sure some animal heard him, now he made the mistake probably costing them their life’s next, how stupid of him! The five of them sat there with their mouths open staring at him, each of them with a glazed look in their eyes with that you-stupid-idiot look on their faces. All of the sudden the tree leafs rattled. The clones reached for their guns as did Spencer and Joseph, but James’s mind was on where he could go when the clones ruin everything again; which was stupid because it was his fault they were all going to die, but he was sure the clones were going to mess everything up even worse. An Effelork jumped out, small harmless purple creature with two big eyes and a cute button nose, he could not harm them, but they could not harm him either. A sigh of relief let was let out; they were fine, for now. “I have come to warn you about the Ork family, you just woke their young twin girls, I would hide now if I were you human fools,” the Effelork camouflaged into his surroundings.
“Let’s hide!” The clones exclaimed. Everybody did as the clones said. A sound of a million sludge hammers smacking against cement floors, the orks where on their way. They were a family of six, a big six at that. They were stuck there for
a good 2 hours until the family went away. “Nice going smart one, way to yell,” exclaimed Joseph.
“I am sorry! My bad I was just mad at the three stooges over there,” exclaimed James as he pointed over to the clones. “We did nothing to disserve this!” They said in unison. “You almost got us killed you idiots!” at the clones. “So did you!” exclaimed the clones. “Both of you stop it! This is ridiculous, how are we going to get the medicine if you people keep arguing?” Spencer asked. “But…” exclaimed James and the clones. “But nothing! If you people cannot agree than you might as well kiss Dad goodbye!” James felt bad. How was he, the future prince, supposed to set a good example for his kingdom if he cannot get along with the clones? “Hello?” said a sweet little voice. “Hello, I am Lidia, are you lost?” asked Lidia. Lidia stepped out from behind the trees her long dark brown hair flowing in the wind it stopped the men’s arguing knowing there was a child nearby them. Her dress was down to the dirt ground and was a dark purple with a lilac bow right above her waist. She was carrying a basket full of beautiful flowers from pink to blue to yellow to green. “My village is just a few miles down the road if you need help,” “I am James,” said James when he saw it was a little girl, “this is my brother Spencer, this is Joseph, and these are the clones. Lidia, how far is your village?” “About five miles, have you seen an Effelork around here he is the only thing to protect you against the evil orks?” asked Lidia. “Yes, in fact we did, he went south,” answered James. “I am right here Lidia, I never would go far without you,” said the Effelork. “There you are Killian!” exclaimed Lidia. “How about we go to your village now, Lidia,” suggested Spencer. “Ok! I have a question, why where you guys yelling so loud?” Lidia questioned. “We were just having a conversation about what has gone wrong so far and how should we fix it. That stirred up some feelings that made us all mad. I m sorry if we scared you,” answered Spencer. They walked down to the village without another word spoken, all five miles. Once they got down to the village they went to Lidia’s house. “Mommy! Mommy! I found some men in the forest they need the medicine from the Cyclops’s eye to heal their father and king!” yelled Lidia. “Lidia! You do not know if we can trust these men, you cannot trust everyone you meet!” shouted Lidia’s mom. To children came running down the stairs a little boy and a little girl. The girl was in a floor length dress that was pink with purple roses on it; she had a bow in her dark red shoulder length hair. The girl’s hair was tied back with yellow ribbons into two pigtails. The boy was wearing long pants that were black with a brown belt. He had a yellow under shirt, with a blue tie, and a dark brown over coat. He had nice light blonde hair. “Sorry,” whispered Lidia. “It’s ok Lidia, Kens and Jackson is upstairs go play with them please,” pleaded Lidia’s mom. “Hello, I am Kathryn, I am sorry if my daughter caused you any harm it shall never happen again,” apologized Kathryn. She had gorgeous light brown hair with a slightly darker brown highlight in it. Her hair was pulled back into a messy bun with a black colored ribbon; Kathryn also had a dark red rose in her hair. Kathryn’s dress was a dark gold with a burgundy ribbon around her waist. “No, she was actually a big help to us. I am James, this is Spencer my brother and Joseph, and these are the clones. Is there a place we could stay 'til morning?” asked James. “You may stay here this is my bed and breakfast, one night you may stay,” exclaimed Kathryn. Kathryn showed them to their rooms and kissed the kids goodnight.
The next morning, a voice woke everyone from their slumber. “The new laws of Arma city: no child out after night fall, no sweet food or alcohol allowed after noon, and only proper behavior allowed. These are the new laws set in order by the mighty ruler, Felix!” yelled a voice outside the bed and breakfast. Kathryn instantly went upstairs to get rid of her guests. “Everyone out of the bed and breakfast now!”
Lidia went to make sure all the men were out of the house by 9:30 in the morning. The men, true to their word, left thanks to Kathryn and her family for their hospitality. The men knew they must fix this town in order to leave get rid of this tyrant king! In that minute a herd of about twenty-five orks barged into the small little town. “We are taking over; you have not paid your fines to the Ork king so now we own your city!” yelled the biggest one. Groans ran over the crowd. James could see the desperate faces and all the sad faces of the children, James knew what he had to do, save
this small town from destruction. “What gives you the right to take over this town?” questioned James. “Who dares question me?!” demanded the big Ork. “I prince of Nazarath,” answered James. “We orks are more powerful than any human, which gives us the right!” yelled the Ork. “You, sir, are just a bully if that gives you the right, then I shall rule this town I could be a better bully than you, sir,” James said articulately. “How dare you mock me?” Screamed the Ork he ran towards James and his friends. A shot was fired; the big Ork fell with a bang. A war began all twenty-four orks against the six men. Shots were fired here and there one after another Ork fell after twenty minutes of this nonsense all the orks where dead. The next job for the men is the king of Arma. A cheer broke out; everyone was finally free, something was wrong though. James looked over and saw blood pouring out of one of the clones legs where an Ork had chomped down on it; he was on the brink of death! James knew they were lucky that only one of the clones was almost dyeing not all of them on the ground blood pouring out of their bodies. James looked around to make sure no one else was hurt in the battle, but it was just one of the clones.
James ran over, “are you ok?” asked James as fear ran over him. “My name is Vincent, and my life is over,” whispered Vincent, and those were his last words ever to be spoken. “Stay… stays with me Vincent. Medic someone help me save my brave friend!” Yelled James but it was no use, Vincent was dead. “Mr. James, Mr. James, thank you so much, but you have no idea what danger you are in now you must run far away before the king Ork comes. The Cyclops knows of your quest, you must hurray the Cyclops is sending the king Ork to destroy you, hurry and leave. My village will try and hold off the orks, but you need a good head start!” yelled Lidia. “Lidia, we shall be fine, we will not leave until these orks know who they are dealing with,” said James. “What if you lose another friend, what if you all die in battle, you must leave,” said Lidia. Something changed inside James, he realized he could come back after he saved his father, now that the Cyclops knows he is coming; there shall be bad danger for him and his friends. He was not just putting himself in danger, he was putting his friends and his whole kingdom in danger, if he ever wanted to be king he would have to put others needs before himself. “We shall leave, please be careful Lidia, do not let your town die, when I come back I will talk to the orks and your leader about these ridiculous rules, I promise,” James said, even though he had no clue if he would live through this expedition or not. “Bye Mr. James and Mr. James friends and brother. We shall miss you! We will hold off the Ork king as long as possible, but there is no guarantee,” yelled Lidia and the town as the five of them left to continue their quest to save the king of Nazarath.
Chapter Three After the battle with the orks, and the death of their brother, the two remaining clones kept to themselves. They mourned over the death of their brother for a few days. But the men still went on. Jams, Joseph, Spencer and the clones had a hard time. The men were thirsty. They were running low on water and could not find a stream or a river for days. The men also had to hurry up and stay clear of the vicious orks after them. They had been traveling for several days. One day James went off on his own when the others were resting after an exhausting day. By then the men were dehydrated and hanging on to their lives. James smelled something unusual. He followed the sent into a forest. “Don’t veer off too far, James, we wouldn’t want you to get lost,” said his cautious brother Spencer. James ignored Spencer and continued farther into the forest. He was interested in veering off farther. After walking on for a few minutes, he saw lots of big bushes with poison berries. James pushed past the heavy thorns as he heard the most wonderful sound in the world to him, the sound of rushing water. There was a stream! “Spencer!! Come quickly! Bring everyone!” James yelled with all his might. When Spencer heard James he concluded that James was being attacked and need to be rescued. After a few minutes, James heard the stomping sounds of the four men. They came rushing in with their guns loaded and ready to attack the danger, but instead they found James splashing around in the water having the best time ever. They rushed to the stream and drank all the water they could. “Oh, thank goodness, we thought that you were in danger, but instead you find water and save our lives! Thank You!” Joseph and the clones thanked James. James replied, “We can also stay and rest for the night, the thick bushes will cover us so that we will not be seen in the middle of the night. I am sure all of you are tired,” Everyone decided that stay there was the best idea. They all helped to settle there for the night. The clones still kept to themselves. James went over to talk to them. “I am so sorry for that you lost your brother, I would be devastated if I lost my brother too,” James said. No one spoke for a while. Then one of the brothers said, “Thank You for your sympathy. We are sorry we have been so hostile in the past. We three brothers thought we were invincible. Vincent’s death was the hardest thing either of us has had to deal with. But my brother wanted to finish this journey for Nazarath and want to finish it for him. “That is a very respectful thing to do for your brother. What are your names?” asked James. “My name is Vaughn and his is Victor,” said Vaughn. After the conversation the men all went to their places and slept. In the morning, they head out for the Town of Tempa. There they would resupply. The Town of Tempa was friends to the people of Nazarath. The men walked to Tempa for several hours. Joseph was the most eager to get to the Town of Tempa. On their way James noticed that Spencer had been very jumpy. He would jump at any moving bushes or strange footsteps. “What’s wrong Spencer? You have been acting weird all morning,” James asked, “I don’t know, but I have had this weird feeling that something is following us,” whispered Spencer, “I am not sure yet so I don’t want to scare everyone,” the brothers kept going with caution. A few minutes later, everyone heard the trees stirring. At once everyone reached for their guns and pointed at the trees. “Come out and show us who you are, or we will shoot!” James yelled to the suspicious person behind the trees.
“I mean you no harm,” called out a voice.
“Then why have you been following us? Show yourself and we won’t shoot,” replied Spencer. A few seconds later they saw a scrawny old man come out. He wasn’t a well dressed man. He had on a pair of old green trouser with rips on the knees, and a dirty shirt. He seemed to be a common peasant. James signaled the men to lower their weapons. “I am from the Town of Tempa, I saw all of you coming towards town and I want to get a better look at all of you,” said the man, “my name is Nicholas, I can escort you to the town if you wish. Our king is waiting for you.” “Thank you Nicholas,” replied James. The men followed Nicholas to the town. It was a small town of about 1,000 people. Most everyone was a peasant. When the men arrived at the castle, they were welcomed with people rushing up to them and serving them food and offering them garlands of flowers. “The explorers have arrived!” they all called out. Nicholas led them to the king’s throne room. They walked into a room that HUGE, it had glamorous glass chandeliers, and jewels on the sides of the walls. In the middle, there was a throne with a big fat king sitting in the middle of it. “James! Spencer! You have arrived! It is my greatest pleasure to welcome you and your men to my kingdom,” boasted the king. “King Theodor, thank you for having us,” James replied. The men were shown around the kingdom for a few hours, and then Joseph and Vaughn went off to gather some supplies. The kingdom was beautiful. The people were very curious about the men. They came up and asked them millions of questions. Joseph and James came back with everything that they would need for their journey till their next stop at the Town of Jarzad. The men all said their goodbyes to the people and the king. Joseph, Victor, Vaughn, Spencer and James were back in the quest, but they had something horrible coming their way. The only way to the Town of Jarzad was through the Forest of Abutor, the most danger forest known to man. Stories have been told that many enchanted creatures live there, such as centaurs, evil mermaids, giants, goblins, demented dwarfs and other creatures that are as equally terrifying. “Is there any other way to Jarzad? There must be a different path that doesn’t lead us to your deaths,” cried Joseph. “No, I’m afraid, there is only one path. We can’t go around the Forest either; it is surrounded by huge rivers on both sides. We cannot waste any time, we have to go through. After a few minutes, they reached the edge of the forest. The five men looked at it like it was their graves. “Well, let’s go on then,” James said as he was first one to take a step into the dangerous forest. Spencer was next, and then the others followed along. When James stepped into the forest, he noticed that it was damp and cold. The trees were covered in frost, even though right outside the forest, it was sunny and warm. The farther into the forest they went, the colder it was. “We should have tried to find another route,” Joseph muttered. “Well there’s no going back now,” Spencer replied. Then, suddenly, the tree branches moved around them. Everyone looked up in fright. “It probably just some birds,” Joseph whispered, but none of them were reassured. After a few minutes, they heard it again. Then again after ten more minutes. “I think we are being followed again, but this time it doesn’t seem to be friendly. All the men kept a sharp eye out in case something were to attack them. Then they saw something come out of the woods. Its horse like legs came out first, but then as the men looked closer, they realized that it had a human torso and head. It was a centaur! Victor and Vaughn immediately aimed their gun to the head of the centaur. The centaur was about to run for it when,
“Wait! Don’t shoot him, he might not be an enemy!” cried James, “Who are you?” James asked the centaur. “I am Brook. I am the head of the centaur family in the Forest of Abutor. My family saw you all passing through the forest and became curious. We mean you no harm, can you please ask your men to lower their weapons?” the Brook asked. James signaled the brothers to lower their weapons. “We are going to the Town of Jarzad, and the only way to get through is the Forest, could you help us get through?” James asked. “Yes, my family and I would love to help you all. Come to your home so that you can rest.” Brook said “Thank you so much, we appreciated it,” Spencer replied. The men followed Brook along a dirt path to a tunnel. Through the dark tunnel was a paradise. There were trees with no frost, sparkling streams and hundreds of wild flowers. And around all of the beautiful landscape were many centaurs. Ti was the complete opposite of what was right on the other side of the tunnel. “Wow! You home is gorgeous!” James cried. “Thank You, we do a lot to keep it this way,” Brook said. Let me introduce you to my people. “Everyone come around. These men are on their way to the Town of Jarzad, they will need our help to get through the forest. Please treat them like kings,” Brook said to his people. The men settled down to rest. All the men were watched by the centaurs. They we all curious just like the people of Tempa. A brave little centaur came up to them and started to talk to them. A curious little boy was the only one with a real interest in them. He spied on them from behind a rock. Joseph spotted him “Hi, what’s your name, boy?” Joseph asked. “Tor, my name is Tor,” whispered the boy. “Why are you going to Jarzad? There is nothing is anything interesting in that town,” he said in a squeaky voice. Joseph chuckled. “We are actually going to Yumazandra, to find a Cyclops,” Joseph told him. Tor didn’t believe Joseph for a while. “We are going to get the Cyclops’ eye so that we can use it to save our sick king,” Joseph explained. The boy was excited. He and Joseph talked for a few hours. Then Brook came by, “I see you’ve meet my son, Tor,” Brook said “Yes, he seems to be a very curious and intelligent boy,” Joseph replied. “Yes, I’m sorry but, it seems that we should start to get going,” said Brook. Chapter Four
While James and everyone were sleeping, one of the clones, Victor, was up thinking about his brother. Oh how much he missed him. He was just thinking about all the great times the three stooges had together. Causing ruckus in the town, lighting fireworks in people’s houses, throwing stink bombs in stores. But now it was different. Without Vincent, the clones are not completed. Finally, after a couple hours, Victor finally goes to sleep. When they all woke up in the morning, they headed off to the town of Jarzad. None of them were looking forward to it, because as you know, they had to go back into the forest Abutor again. They, again left the beautiful, enchanted town of centaurs, and went on into the forest. There they saw many changes. It was all still frosty, but it was a different frost. It wasn’t just a glistening, white, sparkly frost; it was a moldy, greenish brownish, frost. They all ignored the differences and headed on. It was still a miserable 100 miles until they got to Jarzad. They walked through the rugged terrain of Abutor, with frustration. James was starting to notice that every time he stepped, it seemed like it was getting softer and softer. Then suddenly they heard a crash, and there was Joseph, half way into the ground screaming bloody murder. “quiet down, the Orks can hear a lot more than we think, be calm about it, if I understand, this is just like quicksand, the more you squirm, the faster you get to your casket. So CALMLY, grab the tree branch to your left and slowly pull yourself up.” Joseph looked to his left and as James had said, there was a huge tree and there were branches shooting off of it left and right and one branch just so happened to be right at Joseph’s reach. He slowly reached his hand up to the green, moldy tree and grabbed it, but there was a major problem. The tree was so slippery that Joseph could not get a grip on it. Then he began to panic. Slowly he sunk down in the ground and was now at shoulder length into it. Now everyone was starting to panic. Everybody scattered to look for something Joseph could get a grip on, but everything was the same green, moldy, slippery stuff. Then, finally, Vaughn found something under a dead log that looks as if it had been struck by lightning. Under it was a long piece of bark that was clean of the bacteria. Vaughn rushed over to Joseph, who was now down to his neck in the ground, and handed him one end of the dry bark. He then pulled him up and slowly but surely, Joseph was pulled out of the pit. “Phew, that was an experience eh!” Joseph said with sarcasm. Everyone else gave a chuckle, checked him for any bumps or bruises, and then went on. As they all walked they were going at a pretty steady pace, then out of the blue, Spencer proceeded in asking Joseph a question, “So Joseph, do you have any siblings, or who is your dad, is he a carpenter like my uncle or what?” Joseph hesitated, “well, I have no siblings!” “What about your parents, what do they do?” questioned Spencer Now you could tell Joseph was getting uncomfortable, “well, my father died 5 years ago; he also traveled to Yumazandra to get a Cyclops eye, and succeeded. But on his way back word got out that he killed a Cyclops, and the Ork king came after him. Only 50 miles from home, and the Ork got to him. Travelers found him about 3 days after his death, or part of him at least, half of his body was missing. It was most likely eaten by the Cyclops. And my mother has just recently died by getting stabbed to death by dwarfs that invaded our house.”
An awkward silence, “WOW, I’m sorry about your losses so you are all alone?” “Yes, it has been hard keeping myself alive these past months, I have hardly any money, and when I do have money I have to use it for food only.” Spencer just kept going with his questions, “why did you go on this journey with us then, if your father had already been perished doing the exact same thing?”
Joseph quickly defended himself, “Because my father did that for his sick father, and died trying, many new him as a hero. I wanted to follow his path, become someone, and mostly, do it for my father. Also I want to demolish the Ork king, for he killed my father!”Another awkward silence. Then it was broke with a loud roar. All the men quickly pulled out their firearms and circled the perimeter. Nothing was seen. Then out of nowhere appeared a large gargoyle, and it started attacking. Everyone started firing their weapons at it but it seemed to not even penetrate the animal. All the men took cover behind a large tree that had fallen over. Each one of them checked for wounds, and thank god, none of them had any. They then proceeded to charge at the gargoyle and shoot it to death. There it lays a dead, purple, scaly, gargoyle. Then James got out one of his knifes and dug into the gargoyle. All the others looked with horror as he tore apart the gargoyle limb by limb and threw its intestines into a pile. “we are low on food and if we want to survive, we need protein and something to fill us up so this will have to do, here, each of you carry a part of this gargoyles body, we will find a place to set up for the night and make a fire to eat it.” Each of them grabbed a limb and was on their way. About 20 miles further and they found a spot that was, miraculously, green and had a river next to it. The only hard part about it was getting to it. There were thorn bushes in the way along with poison berries. James and Spencer carefully inched their way to the middle of the thorn bushes where lied the area that looked like paradise. Once they got to it they all found a place to lie and started to make a fire. Each of them put their body part from the gargoyle on the fire and waited. Once it was cooked they all hesitated to take a bite out of it except James. James knew that if he didn’t eat then that was putting him in danger so he devoured his piece and grabbed another to throw onto the flaming pit. When they woke up they found out that they had already walked 90 miles and only had 10 more to go. But now they difficult part was there were three paths, each leading a different way. They all stood there, thinking on what to do, where to go, which path would be the right one. James heard a rustle in the tree branches above him and quickly shot his eyes up to look at the tree. To his amazement, there was a little dwarf elf. About 3 ft tall looks meaner than an Ork but is harmless. The dwarf swooped his way down to flat ground and jumbled off, “hi, I’m Russell, he what’s your names?” The dwarf was a little kid and should not be in this forest you could just tell by how it spoke, “Shouldn’t you be at your home, this place is dangerous are you trying to get yourself killed?” questioned Spencer. “I was just wandering off swinging In the trees when I saw you guys, and NO I can be out here I am now 3 years old and now I’m old enough so HA you can’t tell me what to do na nanana na.” The dwarf was now irritating Spencer, “Wait do you live in Jarzad?” “Well DUH, all dwarfs live in Jarzad, why do you think they call it Jarzad, the city of the short?” All of them chuckled and Spencer yet again responded, “Do you think you can lead me to the town, we don’t know which path to take and are lost, could you?” “Well, I guess so, only if you can catch up with me!”
The dwarf started up the tree and swung from tree to tree like it was nothing. The group sprinted to keep up with the little thing and it was still going full speed after 8 miles. Then all of a sudden it stopped. “What is wrong little man?” all of the men snuck a quick grin to each other. “Do you think you could tell my mom that I helped you get back to the town, they all know about you and know you are coming?”
James was wondering why all the towns already knew they were coming, “Ya I guess so only if you walk instead of run!” “Really really yay yay thanks but make it sound truthfully don’t just be like blah be like ya ya ya bla bla bla you know what I mean?’ They all looked at each other with a weird look, “Sure? Well which way is your village?” “This way, follow me.” They all proceeded towards the town. About 30 minutes later they got to Jarzad and out of that nasty forest. They looked at the town and were surprised, they assumed it as a little town with short people roaming all over but actually it was huge and had not only short people but there were about 5 people over 8 ft tall. They didn’t understand it at first until this woman walked up and tapped on James’ shoulder. James looked all around him and then looked down and there was, a woman about 30 years of age with a white shirt way too big for her on and some shorts. She looked almost identical to Russell. “You must be Russell’s mom!” “Sure am, and why was my boy out in the forest where he should never be without supervision?” she stared at her son the whole time. “Well, actually ma’am, your son here helped me and my companions to find this city, I was very proud of him for doing so, you have a great son ma’am!’ “Is that so, well son you better be home before dark, or you will be in trouble, I will let this one slide since you were helping these travelers to get here.’ “Good job dude, you did perfect, how did you learn to act so well?” Russell exclaimed. “Well, it was easy I just talked.” they all chuckled “I better get going; I still have to go play with my friend thanks though for all that.” “You're welcome kid.” They all then proceeded into the large town. Chapter Five As all of them walked into the large town there where many things to look at, the houses had different colors and sizes. People where dressed different on every block, which made Spencer, James, Joseph, Vaughn, and Victor look like freaks they were huge compared and dressed in bland clothes that were dirty and smelled BAD! They received numerous stares and giggles. Spencer was annoyed. “We are not in a museum or a joker, why are they staring at us?!” exclaimed Spencer. “We are not the average kind they have around here, just relax ignore them and please you are turning that red color again,” said James with a slight giggle. “You think you do not care, but you do once we see the king and request housing for the night you will be begging to leave,” Spencer muttered under his breath just loud enough for James to hear, but no one else. Vaughn and Victor are still mourning the death of their brother, Vincent; they were not paying attention to the argument going on. Joseph, on the other hand, was annoyed, not with the stares, but with the arguing. They had been disagreeing ever since we walked in the town.
Joseph then shouted out, “Can you two shut up! You have been at each other’s throats; you might as well be worst enemies instead of brothers. You have no idea what you have!” screamed Joseph. The look on Spencer’s and James’s face where in shock
they did not think about how annoying they really were. “Sorry,” they said in a shocked not really apologetic tone. “Just try to get a long for a little while, please,” thanks to him it was a quiet walk to the castle, if that is what you want to call it. The Castle was no bigger than the biggest shack in Nazarath. They walked in and saw a big huge dwarf in a too small of a chair eating on five different meals at a time. “Excuse me,” said James in a polite voice. “Just a minute, let me finish this meal,” the king said with his mouth full. James knew that would take to long he had a huge table full of food still left to eat, so he tried again. “Sir, I am the Prince of Nazarath my friends and I…” he was cut off. “I am eating you fool shut your trap and let me finish!” shouted the annoyed king. “But sir...” “Are you deaf?! I said shut your trap, now do as I say!” He yelled. “Sir, please,” begged James. “Squire, escort these rebels out of my castle before they are banished from my town!” The squire escorted them out of the castle. “Now do not come back till the king is done eating,” said the squire as he kicked the out. “What an arrogant, tyrant, and stupid king. He is not fit to rule!” exclaimed Joseph. “Joseph! That is not the attitude I want on this expedition, we will find another way to find shelter,” said James in an outraged attitude. He, James, had no idea what they were going to do. Then they ran into their dwarf friend, Russell. “Hey, Russell, do you have any extra space to spare for us at your place?” “Maybe, but my mom is in enough trouble as it is, but I do have a friend who runs the local barn, you could go there. Follow me, before my mom finds out I am out of the house,” said Russell as he ran off. “Wait, Russell, your mom does not know you are out of the house!?” Spencer yelled as they ran after him. Then they all ran into a very familiar person, the squire. “What are you guys doing following this young man?” asked the squire. “He said he could find us a place to stay,” said James. “Son is this true?” “Yes, father,” confessed Russell. No one could believe that Russell’s dad was the squire. “Wait, you are his father,” said Spencer in complete shock. “Yes, is that an issue? Son was you taking them to the king’s barn?” Asked the squire. “Ya, I was taking them to the barn I figured you could just sneak them past that oaf of a king, that was it, isn’t that easy for you,” “Does your mother know you are here, Russell,” asked the squire. “No, but I figured it would only take a minute or two,” “Go home right now, I will talk to your mother later about this, as for you five, you can stay in our house just for the night, but in the mourning you must leave,” “Yes, sir, thank you so much,” exclaimed Joseph. “You rock dad!” exclaimed Russell. “Thanks just stop running off and go home with these gentlemen to our house and stay there, got it?” “Sure dad thanks. Hurry up guys, my house is pretty far, and if we want to get there on time we must run like orks,” just then Russell ran into the biggest dwarf in the town, 8.5 feet tall, Rolly Higgins. “Hey, short stuff,” said Rolly. “H…eeee…yyy, Rolly,” said Russell in an unconfident voice. “Hey, Russell where did you go?” yelled an out of breath Spencer. “Hey, guys this is Rolly the biggest dwarf in our town,” said Russell. “Who are there?” shouted Rolly in a booming voice. “Hey Russell why are you in this dark alley all alone?” “Why don’t ya ask Rolly,” Shouted Russell, he heard them coming laughing and talking. Russell was hoping his new friends would save him from this bully. “Hey, Rolly what are doing with Russell?” yelled Spencer. “I am planning on rearranging his face to look better than it is now,” said Rolly with a devious look on his face. “Why not put him down and talk to us?” exclaimed Spencer. “Why, no one can stop me?” asked Rolly. “Think again!” yelled Spencer getting into battle formation. “No, Spencer, this is Russell’s fight, he must learn to protect himself,” explained James. “NO, it is fine if you help me, we can learn life lessons later,” begged Russell. “James is right, Russell, you need to learn your lesson now,” agreed Spencer. “Nice friends you got there short stuff, ready for your make over Russell?” asked Rolly. “No, not really,” said Russell in an uneasy tone of voice. “Well, you better get ready,” said Rolly with a smirk on his face. Just then, something changed in Russell, he realized no one was going to save, he was on his own. Just then Russell Jumped out of Rolly’s hands and on to a clothes line. He pulled on it and the heavy objects fell right on giant Rolly, Rolly was knocked unconscious and Russell and the five of them ran to Russell’s house. By the time they got to Russell’s house his father was there, talking to his mother about his consequence, and the promise to help James, Spencer, Joseph, Vaughn, and Victor for the night. “Hey, mom, we are home!” yelled Russell. “Russell! You are in sooooooooooo much trouble young man, your father told me everything that happened and you are grounded for, for….. a very long time upstairs with you!” “Hey, mom did dad tell you about his promise, bye,” Russell said as he ran up the stairs. “What promise?” asked Russell’s mom, Veronica. “Veronica, I helped some travelers the king would not they are staying here for the night,” explained Russell’s dad, Lionel. “Lionel, we cannot harbor illegals! What were you thinking?”
“That the king will never find out!” suggested Lionel. “You are crazy!” “It is too late now; they are coming just tonight, please?” “Fine, but I am not feeding them!” “Come on inside, just hurry!” yelled Lionel. “Yes sir,” they all said in unison. They ran inside, and each found a place to sleep.
They woke up and got ready to leave when a knock came on the door, everyone froze, then the five of them hid where ever they could, most ran upstairs. “Hello?” said Lionel. “We are the police, we have reason to believe you are harboring illegal’s, we are going to come in and search your house top to bottom,” exclaimed a medium sized dwarf. “Sure come right in,” Lionel slowly opened the door while Russell ran upstairs to get James, Spencer, Joseph, Vaughn, and Victor out of there quickly. “Go out the window and North as north as you can get we shall hold them off, HURRY!” He shoved them out the window once they hit the ground they went running as far as they could until they knew they were safe. “We are sooooooooooo lucky!” Exclaimed Joseph out of breath. “You…got…that…right!” Exclaimed Spencer also out of breath. They made camp where they stood setting up a fire, beds, and who had first watch they were sure that the police were still on their tail so someone always was up, that is until at one in the morning when it was Joseph’s watch and dozed off, that is when they attacked. The orks were all around them ready to dine, they were in huge trouble. “Do not kill them, I want to have them captured and tied up before any of them wake up, got it you idiots?” Explained the Ork king. “Yes sir,” they all said in loud voices, which got them the evilest look in the world that is when all five of them woke up and ran for their lives. Chapter Six "Run!" screamed James “Get them!" ordered the Ork king. The five kids were running straight for the forest. James ran and hid behind a big tall tree. He took out his pistol and aimed at one of the orks head. "Enjoy a little taste of my little friend!" He fired. The bullet zoomed by one of the orks ears and went right in the orks head that was standing behind. He stood and fell hard on the ground. Vaughn threw a sharp rock at the Ork that was about to grab James and throw him against a tree with sharp sticks sticking out. "Fool, a rock isn’t going to do anything!" He shouted.
Joseph began to wrap a large stick with a sharp triangular shaped stone. He didn’t notice the Ork standing behind him. James and Vaughn heard a scream and saw Joseph being chocked by an Ork. "James, go help Joseph! I’ll distract them!"
James nodded and took off. "DIE you ungrateful beast!" yelled James as he fired his pistol at the Ork chocking Joseph. Joseph fell on the floor. The Ork lay motionless on the ground. Gasping for air he looked at James" Grab.......the......stick...and.....throw ....at...the Ork king." James grabbed the stick. He aimed. Spencer popped out of a bush he was hiding in and told James the Ork king is to powerful. Victor who was reloading a shotgun said the same thing. James didn’t care. He wanted to kill these animals once and for all. He threw the spear. The spear flew across the sky at lightning speed. The Ork king saw it and caught it and for James everything went slow motion. The Ork king threw the spear at James, It was going to hit him right in the chest, and Joseph stood up and jumped right in front of the spear. James stared at Joseph as he fell on his knees with a large spear going through his chest. Joseph stared at the Ork king as he looked down and saw blood come out. Vaughn, Victor, James, and Spencer stared in horror as Joseph fell on the ground. “Joseph!" screamed James as he ran to Joseph and dragged him behind a fallen tree. "Stay with me Joseph!" Victor continued firing his shotgun, Vaughn continued throwing sharp rocks, and Spencer fired his pistol. They were running low on ammo. “Please don't die Joseph, we need you!" yelled James as he holed Joseph in his arms. "No you don’t need me....... not anymore." Joseph said as he gasped for air. “It was an honor ........to be .....At your side helping you James.....future king of Nazarath. “Joseph began to spit out blood and he began to breathe less as he grabbed James shirt and held it hard. "James, even though I’m not going to be with you guys anymore....." “Yes you are, just hanging in there Joseph, please!! Exclaimed James. "Listen.......James......I want to tell you that....... not let my death stop you from completing your journey...You understand?" Joseph gasped. He began to lose his strength," You were a good friend, and you will make Nazarath very proud James." Joseph coughed and stared at James. “Make........your...father........proud." Joseph closed his eyes. James cried a little. "James we need to go now!" Spencer yelled. Victor ran and told Vaughn “We need to go, stop throwing rocks and run!"
James stood up and ran. He never looked back. Victor, Vaughn, James, and Spencer ran through the thick trees. The Orks couldn't catch up. So they stayed there. The Ork king stared at one of his dead Ork soldiers. "Foolish children." “Sir, should we continue following them?" asked an Ork.
“Yes, but we must follow them slowly so that they won’t know that we are still on their tails." the Ork king said. “Sir we only have 13 men left, 4 wounded, 5 killed and 1,000 men 50 miles away waiting for your orders." the Ork quickly said. “Tell them to stay put. We will need them as backup soon." the Ork king said. "Yes sir, anything else?" asked the Ork soldier. “Send that 2 headed dog we have after them, so that dog can eat for once." the Ork king said. "Yes sir." the Ork soldier said. The Ork king stared at the trees and the dead boy with a spear going through his chest. “Men, we are having a boy on a spear tonight!!!!" he said laughing evilly. James fell on the ground hard. He was out of breath and gasping for air. Spencer and the other two boys stopped. "I can't believe Joseph is dead." James said. "James he died saving his life for you, and he expects you to finish your journey." Spencer said. “I know." replied James. “Hey guys we should start actually making spears out of all these large sticks and stones." Vaughn suggested. After a quick break, they began to make spears for back up weapons. Soon they had about 20 spears piled up. Victor grabbed them and put them in a big enough bag he made and he carried them while they continued their journey. Now the four guys walked through the forest. They continued going north and they crossed a few rivers and swamps. Finally they found a place to camp. The boys lay down. “You James, did you ever think we would make it this far?" asked Victor “To tell you the truth, not really." said James. “Hey Spencer do you think we will be able to get that Cyclops eye?" asked Vaughn. “Sure, if we have enough shotgun bullets or something that can kill that thing in a second." answered Spencer. “I feel bad that Joseph is gone, don’t u guys?" asked Vaughn quietly. “Yea." everybody answered.
James began to sleep. He saw Joseph with blood all over his face and body lying on the floor, gasping for air. Staring at him. “James..........HELP." “I’m here, hang in there Joseph." “James, watch out.........dog.....gone...after....you........." "What?" "WAKE UP JAMES, WAKE UP!" screamed Joseph as he gripped on James shirt. "AHHHHH!" screamed James. Gasping. Breathing deeply. It was midnight. Everyone was awake, and James was looking at Victor. He heard growling from behind a tree. Victor, Spencer, and Vaughn were staring at a bush that began to move a little bit. “What’s that sound?" asked Vaughn. “I don’t know." replied James. A dark dog looking figure appeared. “Victor, get the spears." Spencer whispered. Victor gave each boy a spear. They all pointed it at the moving bush. Then the figure moved from one bush to another at lightning speed. Everything went silent. Fear crawled up James spine. Then a dog appeared and jumped on Spencer. “Get this thing off of me!!!!"
James stared in fright. The dog had two heads and it was attacking Spencer. Victor ran up and stabbed it on one of its heads. Then Vaughn ran up but wasn't able to stab the dogs second head so he drove the spear in its leg. Then James ran up and tackled the dog. Pulling out his gun, he shot it a few times. The dog stopped moving after it received about ten shots on both of its heads. Spencer stood up and stared at it. James stood up and held his left arm tightly. He was bleeding badly. Victor ripped part of his long sleeve of and wrapped James arm with it. “Thanks brother" Spencer said. “Your welcome, it’s just that I’m not going to let another guy die." replied James.
The three boys continued heading north. Even though it was about 4 in the morning. James was to awake now to even sleep. They spotted an old wooden house just a mile away. They entered the house. It was all old and spider webs were all over the doors. Victor began to roam around the outside of the house to see if there weren’t any hidden passages or a basement somewhere. Vaughn began to look for any books or papers that showed who the owner was. No papers were found. So James decided to make this their resting spot, since the other three boys were still sleepy. After about 4 hours the young men continued walking. They had to cross many dangerous areas like the swamp filled with sea creatures that looked like huge life sized crocodiles. “Hey Spencer, how much time do we have left to bring back the medicine for dad?" asked James “Only about 18 days left." replied Spencer. “We got enough time boys." said Victor
The 4 boys kept on walking. Vaughn saw a little town nearby. "Hey guys, I’ve heard about this place before!" exclaimed Vaughn proudly. "So?" asked Victor. “This is the town where everybody sells weapons, food, cloths, and other things!" replied Vaughn as he began to run towards the gates of the town. “Halt!" two soldiers pointed their rifles at Vaughn. "Who are you???" One asked. “Uh, I’m a friend if the prince of Nazarath and these are my other two friends Spencer and Victor." replied Vaughn nervously. “I don’t believe you." the soldier said as he pointed the rifle at Vaughn’s face and was beginning to pull the trigger. "Please, don't shoot!" Yelled James as he got in front of Victor. "I'm really the prince of Nazarath; I’ve come to get weapons to defeat the Cyclops and safe my father from dying." James replied. "Hmmmmmmmm, ok I’ll let you go then." the soldier said. "OPEN THE GATES!" screamed the second soldier.
The gates opened, and to the boy’s amazement, the town was crowded with people buying all kinds of things. Vaughn ran off and went to the weapon section. James, Victor, and Spencer went to go find food and clothing. A few hours later the four boys were standing with their hands full of weapons, food, and clothes. They shoved all the food and clothes in one bag, and the weapons they carried in a separate bag. They stood at the exit when they heard the front gates opening. There, stood over 30 orks with hands full of spears and bowing arrows looking for them. The four boys hid in the crowd and ran out of the town. They heard a little girl say "They left and went over there!"
James ran faster into the woods. Soon the orks will catch up. The four boys camped in the middle of thick bushes and trees. Yumazandra was very close to them now. James heard rumors that the Cyclops had a whole army that protected him and his kingdom surrounded by fire, he was not sure if the rumor was true but he was going to find out in about a week. Chapter Seven The four boys were walking for about 5 hours straight without stopping and they were tired and weak. They ended up taking a rest. James was wide awake and full of energy after he woke up. He stood up and stretched his arms. Just as he was going to start walking, he heard a click of a gun. To his surprise, it was another boy with a machine gun. He had a serious look on his face and he was not playing around at all. He looked to be older then James and he had an angry face. He had long blond hair with a medium built body. James just blinked and stared. He thought this boy was a warrior or something because he had army clothes on. "Who are ya?" he asked pointing his gun at James nose. "I'm future king of Nazarath." James replied. “Who are those sleepin' kids’ ova there?" He asked. “My friends who have come to help me to complete my journey." James replied seriously. "Where I come from, we don't have such things as friends." He said madly. "Who are you?" asked James. “You don't need to know my name." He replied. “Go wake up yo' friends and come with' me."
James just woke up his lazy friends, and all of them followed the mad 19 year old looking guy. He got down and moved some leaves and pulled a hidden handle. Then he ordered the four boys down the stairs. Soon they came up to some old large Gates that seem to be built underground a long time ago. James was curious and wanted to know where they were being taken. The guy opened the gates and right there, was an underground town. “Shoot, all this time I never knew there was a hidden town down here." Victor said. "Shut yo trap and keep walkin' or I’ll shoot you guys and let my dogs chew you's up." the blond haired boy said. The boys continued walking. Then they came up before a king that James had never heard of. His name was King John. "How dare you kids step into my territory?" he asked with a loud commanding voice. The blond haired kid whispered something in his ear. The king nodded and stared at the kids. “Future king of Nazarath, I’m very surprised to see you here." He said with a smile. Then he ordered a few soldiers to escort them to his office. The four boys sat down and stared quietly at the king as he pulled out a large map with the town of Yumazandra drawn on it. It showed the whole kingdom. Then the King began to speak. “For many years we have been hiding underground forming an army to capture Yumazandra and take over. Yumazandra used to be our precious Kingdom until that Cyclopes and his army came and took over. All his army began to kill all the people, and I was only 18 years old." He sighed and went on. “My father was killed along with my mother. I led a lot of my people out of the kingdom after this happened. We began to dig a huge hole and we ended up building this huge underground town." The king stared at the boys and smiled. “We have been waiting for the right moment to strike but we couldn't because my men were too afraid and finally they have become strong and will do anything to win our kingdom back." He stood up and looked at James eye to eye. “Will you help us?" he asked. James stared and looked at his brother, Victor, and Vaughn. They nodded to James. James stared at the king. "Yes." he replied as he shook the kings hand. The king smiled and began to introduce James to everyone in town and including the army. “My greatest team of warriors are these men." The king said as 50 men all lined up and saluted. The blond haired kid was with the group. “The leader of the group is my son, Wesley." The king smiled and the blond haired kid stood straight and saluted seriously. James looked at Wesley and saluted back. Wesley didn't smile at all. He had a look of anger and vengeance as he went back in line and stood quietly. “Sorry if my son doesn't smile, he has been waiting for a long time to go to war because the Cyclopes army killed his mother." the king sadly explained. "I have been watching over him and two other girls ever since." The king smiled. “IM very lucky because my youngest girl that’s your age can cook." The king took them back to his house which was very huge and clean. It seemed to have three floors and a huge kitchen. James watched as three little girls came running down the stairs with a pretty women behind them. "My second oldest child, Lucy. She’s married and the three little girls are her children Jessica, Gabriela, and Katie. They live with me." The King quickly stopped the girls and told them to walk. They giggled and ran back upstairs. Their mother sighed and went back upstairs after them. Then the King introduced them to almost the whole family. “My youngest daughter, Jessica will arrive later." He said. The boys found a room to sleep in which had four beds in it. James asked the king if they could stay for a while and he explained about the Ork king and how they have been running away from them for over 10 days. The king nodded and went upstairs to his room. Victor, Spencer, and Vaughn went upstairs to explore the house. James just sat on a chair and began to make plans for the war and how they were going to get in Yumazandra. He began to wonder if he could make the orks fight the army of the Cyclopes. Then they could have an advantage and get in the town. James began to write down his plans on a piece of paper. Then he called Vaughn, Spencer, and Victor downstairs and told him his plan. Spencer agreed with the plan while Victor and Vaughn thought about it and came up with more ideas. Soon James was standing before the army that had over 30,000 troops lined up and listening. “Brave warriors of this underground town, I’m the future king of Nazarath and I have heard the terrifying story of how you men were thrown out of your kingdom long ago." James said loudly and seriously. “I have come up with a plan that will work if we do it fast and perfectly." James said. Victor came up and continued to talk for James. “I’m Victor and I will explain the plan to win Yumazandra back." Victor displayed a huge map with the kingdom of Yumazandra and arrows all over the map. “First, James, Spencer, Vaughn, and I will make the orks follow us to the gates of Yumazandra, and just as they charge at us we will move out of the way and the orks will smash the gates down. The Cyclopes army will begin to fight them and that’s where we will send Spencer to signal all of you to march and prepare to battle the orks so that all we have left to fight is the Cyclopes army." Spencer then began to speak. "I will escort half of the army behind the kingdom and we will break down the wall and surprise attack the rest of the army."
Vaughn ended up talking for Spencer. “After the surprise attack, James and I will go and fight the Cyclopes. If we need help I will tell you."
James stood straight and stared at the army. “All of you must be prepared, fight for your kingdom, home, and families!!!!!" James yelled." I know I might be too young for this, but I am not letting my father or any of you die or be kicked out of your homes. I’m willing to die for all of you including my kingdom." James saluted the whole army. They all yelled “FOR YUMAZANDRA!" James was ready to fight the Cyclopes but all he needed was the army to be prepared. They had only had two weeks. If the planned failed, then James’s father will die. James wasn't going to let that happen. Chapter Eight All James, Victor, and Vaughn had been doing is going off to help the army prepare. They had been teaching the army how to fire rifles when crouching and laying down. Also Spencer had been showing the army some stabbing techniques he learned back in Nazarath. The army was also learning how to make bombs with Victor. Vaughn had been helping make spears and a lot of swords. They made over 100 slingshots and had collected many sharp rocks in just two days. They practiced how to reload their weapons quickly and fire rapidly. The army was starting to become stronger and they began to make armor that protected them. James came up to Wesley and asked " Hey you alright?" “Yea, why you askin youngster?" asked Wesley as he cleaned his sword. James stared at it as it shined in the glowing fire light. “Well all this time you have been serious and very annoyed for some odd reason." replied James. “Well I’ve been very disappointed at my father for not letting me go with my group to 'em Cyclops soldiers during midnight and just kill them all." He explained with a very angry look in his face. “You know that the Cyclops army only sleeps for like 5 hours during the day and never sleep in the night right? asked James. “Well before you came their god dang army only slept at night." Wesley said staring at James. “Well can you at least calm down a little?" asked James. “I only calm down when I’m at home, but I have only been there once after I found you and your buddies snoring on the ground." Wesley replied and then a smile came across his face as he sharpened his spear. “So I heard you met my folks, and you haven't met my smallest sister yet huh?" he asked. “No, I haven't met your little sister, but I heard she's my age." replied James. “Well don't get all hypered up kid, because if I hear you got with her and broke her heart I’ll slay you myself." Wesley seriously said as he stared at James eye to eye. James got very quiet. He then got defensive. “What you talking about me getting with her?" James asked angrily, “I haven't even met her!" “Just watch kid, my little sister is a beautiful fish in the water that is waiting for the right person to catch her." Wesley said, “I’m the shark that will gobble who ever breaks her heart."
James just laughed. Wesley laughed too but he was serious. Then Wesley, James, Vaughn, Spencer, and Victor went to the king John’s house. They entered the house.
"Wesley, you are back!" screamed Lucy as she hugged her older brother. Then her three little girls came and hugged him too. "Hi uncle Wesley!" they said cheerfully. James realized this was going to be big family dinner because there was a huge table in the middle of the dining room. The biggest table James had ever seen. Everyone took a seat and began to eat. James finished first and heard a knock on the door. He opened it. James eyes grew wide as he saw a very glamorous girl standing there with blue eyes staring at him. Her eyes sparkled and reminded him of the ocean and how peaceful it was. Her gorgeous face made his heart melt and his cheeks turn red. Her hair was black and it was put in a pony tail. She smiled. “Hi, I’m Jessica." she said with her soft voice. James didn't know what to say. She was so pretty that he felt she was a princess. He didn't notice she was standing there staring at him waiting for him to introduce himself. “Uh, hi I’m James, future king of Nazarath; I’m very pleased to meet you." he said very quickly and loudly. He felt stupid and embarrassed. Jessica smiled and was waiting for something else. He instantly remembered what to do. He grabbed her hand and kissed it. Her hand was so soft. He let her in. He felt very dumb. As she passed, her perfume smelled like flowers. James wasn't sure if he was dreaming or not. “So what you think of my sister kid?" James spun around and saw Wesley standing there looking at him. James didn't know what to say. “She is the most beautiful young women I’ve ever seen." He said." Hahaha told ya boy!" Wesley said laughing, “just remember what I told you about me being the shark ok boy?" James smiled “Ok Wesley."
James let Jessica sit in his seat. She ate and finished eating. Everyone went outside and began to talk to the town and had a big celebration. Victor came up to James and said “James old boy, go get that young lady!"
James laughed. He began to walk up to Jessica. Every step he took made him even more nervous. She smiled at him and came his direction. "Hello James." she said politely " Hi Jessica I’ve...." She came up to him and hugged him. He had never felt so good. She kissed him on the cheek and he kissed her on both cheeks. He took a while to remove his lips from her cheek. Jessica blushed a little and giggled. Then after a long conversation She said she needed to go help clean up the house. James smiled. She liked him back. He was able to tell how by how quickly she walked away and how her soft cheeks turned red.
The next day the boys were back with the army helping out. “James, wow man, I saw everything!" Vaughn said laughing. “Yea man she’s the perfect one for you." Victor said smiling. "Ha-ha What you guys talking about?" James asked laughin as he loaded a rifle. “I saw you kiss that pretty girls cheeks man." Vaughn replied as he shoved a whole load of spears in a bag and set it aside. “You should get with that girl." Victor said smiling, “I already found myself one and her name is Vanessa. She a beauty." " You planning to stay with her?" asked Spencer. “Of course. I am going to marry her after the war." Victor replied.
The boys continued chatting. Then they saw a young man with shredded pants and no shirt. He began to run towards James but was stopped by a soldier. The young man said “I have come to deliver a message to the prince about the king's wealth in Nazarath."
The soldier let him pass. James stood up and walked to the young man who began to smile a little. “Prince, your father has gotten better, but not that much." “Well tell me more." James ordered. “The king said he can last a month or two." the messenger replied. “Very well then, go back and tell my father that I am going to war with the Cyclops’s army and that I will retrieve the medicine." James ordered. “Yes sir." the messenger said.
The young man left with enough ammunition and supplies to return safely. He left early. Then James, Spencer, Vaughn, and Victor went back into the Kings house and they began to make a plan B where if they fail, they will have a plan that will protect the underground town and save the lives of everyone. The king was agreeing with everything. James was not sure if it will work but he was hoping for it. A week passed and the army was ready. James was ready too along with Spencer, Victor, and Vaughn. The four boys walked out of the underground town and covered the way inside with pounds of leaves. James saw the orks that were marching slowly and quietly. The ork king stood and looked around. He spotted James standing not that far away.
He pointed his spear at him and yelled “GET THEM AND KILL THEM!" The orks began to chase them, along with 1,000 other orks. James ran to the gates of Yumazandra. Spencer hid behind a bush. Victor tackled one of the Cyclops’s guards standing in the way. the other guard was killed after a spear went through his neck. James and Victor moved right out of the way and the orks broke down the gates and right behind the gates was the Cyclops’s army. The war began. The Cyclops’s warriors sliced away at the orks as the rest of the ork army fought back throwing their spears and swinging their swords. James yelled to Spencer to go signal the underground army. Spencer ran and yelled at Vaughn who then went to Wesley and told him to march. The men began to march in line and with their rifles on their side. Vaughn marched with them and so did Victor. They wanted to fight at least a little. They arrived right in front of the ork army that had their backs on them busy fighting the Cyclops army.
Wesley crouched with his 50 men and yelled loudly "Ready, aim, FIRE!" BOOM! the sound of the rifles firing echoed in James ears as he watched about 20 orks fall dead. The orks turned around and thought the Cyclops army had joined the humans’ army. They were very confused. "FIRE!" Wesley yelled again. This time the men with pistols fired while the men with rifles reloaded. Then it was the machine guns that fired. The orks now were fighting two armies. Many orks began to fall dead. Wesley led his group and about 200 other men around, behind the Kingdom. Victor followed. Vaughn and James stayed helping the rest of the army fight. "Ready, aim, FIRE!" screamed James as 100 men fired their rifles, arrows, and spears at the orks. Many fell dead. James climbed on a rock to look for the Ork king. and there he was fighting some Cyclops soldiers. Then James jumped off and got in the front lines.
"Ready, CHARGE!" James screamed as he and the army charged with their swords, knifes, and Enfield Bayonets. Men slashed away at the orks and at some Cyclops’s soldiers. Many orks began to ignore the Cyclops army and kill the humans. That didn't work though. James ducked as an ork swung his huge sword at him. He then drove his sword right into the orks stomach and then he pulled it out. The ork fell on the floor motionless. He and the Ork king were facing each other. “You killed my friend Joseph, and now I’m going to kill you." James angrily said. "Well you and your stupid friends tricked us and now my army is going to lose," the ork king said "I will enjoy looking at your dead body before I run and retreat!" The Ork king ran towards James and swung his huge sword at him. James blocked it with his sword. All he heard was a tremendous CLANG as both swords hit each other. The Ork's strength was too much. So James rolled and before he stood up he sliced part of the Ork’s leg. "AHHH!" the Ork screamed and stared at the cut, blood began to come out. The Ork looked at James with furious eyes and the ork quickly took out another sword and swung it to him. James blocked it. CLANG! the ork king swung his other sword and James quickly took his rifle out with his left hand and blocked the second sword. He heard the rifle crack. The Ork King's strong swing broke the rifle a little and the sword was stuck to the rifle. The ork king threw the sword away from him and James. The Rifle still didn't come off. James took out is small knife just as the Ork King took out a medium sized sword. Now both of them had a big sword and a little one. "AHHHHHHHHHHH!" The Ork king screamed as he savagely swung both swords at James. James began to back away but wasn't quick enough. The Ork’s medium sword sliced his left arm badly; the ork then kicked James and made him drop his sword and his knife. The Ork King kicked the sword and the knife away as James layed on the floor. James slowly began to stand up. The Ork King lifted his sword, and was about to swing when Vaughn appeared and threw his sword at James. James caught it and tackled the Ork king. The Ork King kicked him off and stood back up. Then Vaughn ordered the men with bowing arrows to kill the Ork King. The men pulled their arrows back and let their arrows go flying at the same time. over 20 arrows landed right on the Ork king's back. The ork King fell on his knees. and stared at James who was standing up. James Looked at him, and swung his sword at the King's head. The Ork King saw nothing but darkness after that. He had lost the battle. "James, we have to retreat!" Victor yelled as he and Wesley came running with only about 40 men. "What happened?" asked James "There....was....too many..of Cyclops’s army," Replied Wesley out of breath,” It looks like they were.....waiting for us."
James told Vaughn to order the retreat. “RETREAT!" screamed Vaughn. The men retreated and ran into the woods. They split apart at first and then regrouped as they went underground running. Soon the only me left were James, Vaughn, and two other warriors protecting them as they retreated. James stopped running and heard one of the Cyclops’s soldier scream: "THROW THE FIRE BALLS!!!!" James stared as he heard a few screams. Then he stared in horror as 100 balls of fire flew in the sky. They looks like a million arrows at first but when they as they came closer, they didn't look like arrows at all. "Run!!!" yelled Vaughn as the fire balls came crashing down and exploding. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! James ran and all around him were raining fire balls. BOOM! one of the men protecting him went flying. BOOM! James and Vaughn continued running further into the trees until they were safe. Both men that protected them were killed. James and Vaughn went into the underground town panting. All the soldiers were back in the military station. treating their wounds and helping the injured. The King asked James if the town needed to evacuate. James said not to worry because the Cyclops’s army was busy killing the rest of the ork army. He was glad to see Wesley, Vaughn, Victor, and Spencer were ok. They had to make another plan later but right now they had to rest. James came up to one warrior. "What are the casualties?" “100 men killed, and 40 injured." replied the warrior. James felt horrible, he told the warrior to tell all the families of the dead men that they were brave, and that he was very deeply sorry. The warrior nodded and continued helping others. James felt a little dizzy, and then he began to see the whole place become very squished in. He felt very weird. Then he fell, and he saw Vaughn, Spencer, Wesley, and Victor all around him. He heard voices and he heard Wesley yell "We need a doctor QUICK!" Then all James saw was darkness.
A few minutes later James opened his eyes to see the King's whole family circled around him. He was in a bed. "Ugh, what happened?" he asked.
"James, you just fell and passed out." Spencer replied. “I think you are going to have to stay in bed for about 3 days." King John said. "Yea because your arm was cut badly, and now that Lucy stitched it up you are going to have to stay laying down." said Victor.
James looked at his arm. It was wrapped with some white cloth. He saw a little bit of red on it. The family left the room. Spencer and Vaughn followed. Victor stared at James arm and asked what happened. James told him how he fought the Ork King and how the Ork King sliced his arm. "Wow James, you are one lucky fellow." Victor said.
They didn't notice that Jessica was standing by the door listening. James noticed her and Victor stood and walked out of the room. Jessica walked up and sat down. “You were very brave." she said with a smile. “Well that’s what a prince should always be like." James said.
To James surprise, she leaned over and kissed him on the mouth. Then she walked out of the room and closed the door.
James lay on the bed smiling. “Just three days James and you’re going back to work." he told himself. Then he fell asleep. He ended up in bed for 4 days, and he was very embarrassed because he was being fed like a baby. He was finally relieved he was out of the bed after the 4 days passed. Then he went back to work with the army. He then went out of the underground town and into the forest with the other three boys. He needed to go back to that big dwarf king and ask him if he could help. His kingdom wasn't that far away. So the four boys started through the dangerous forest. It only took two days to get to the kingdom and two more days to get back to the underground town. James had only about 30 weeks left to attack the kingdom of Yumazadra. James wanted to cure his father and be able to help the underground King to take Yumazadra back. So James and the boys continued their Journey to the dwarfs Kingdom to ask them if they will help them fight the Cyclops army. James was going to have patience this time for that dwarf to finish his food. If he doesn't, James will have to get rid of the Dwarf King and control his army. James was armed and ready. Only two days of travel. Then he will be able to return to the underground town. He began to cut the bushes that were in the way. They killed some snakes and other creatures that were trying to kill them. They finally made it to the Dwarfs kingdom the next day in the morning. Chapter Nine When they reached the kingdom they were exhausted. They had been cutting through bushes all night and had finally gotten some rest that night. James woke up to all of his Vaughn, Victor and Spencer packing up their tents and getting ready to head for the castle. “Good Morning, sorry I wasn’t awake to help you pack up,” James said. “It’s fine, you had a rough night. Does your arm still hurt?” asked Spencer. “No, it’s fine now,” James looked at his damaged arm that Lucy stitched up. He was still embarrassed about fainting,” We should start going to the kingdom." The dwarf kingdom was a tiny little place. It had small houses with tiny buildings and streets. There was a little dwarf on the side of the road. "Excuse me little boy, can you show us the way to the castle?" Victor asked him in a gentle voice. "LITTLE BOY!!" the dwarf shouted in a deep voice, "I am old enough to be you grandfather! So instead of insulting all of the 'little' people in this kingdom, you should LEAVE!" "I am so sorry I mistaked you for a boy," Victor said as he tried not to laugh. "Stupid giants," the dwarf muttered as he walked away.
After being insulted by two more drawfs, Spencer finally got the directions to the castle. Just like the rest of the kingdom, the castle was also miniature size. There were two guards standing outside. The stood still and looked aggressive, even James was a little intimidated. “I am the prince of Nazarath, and these are my men, we are here to see the king,” James announced to the guards. They looked at each other in uncertainty. Spencer saw their look and replied, “We are here to see him about the war between the Cyclopes’ army and the people of Yumazadra. It is very urgent.” The guards finally let them through. They were all taken to the throne room. The guard that they were escorted by said in a deep voice, “The king only sees one man at a time,” “I’ll go,” James replied. The guard showed the way to the king’s room. “Wait here you must be announced” he walked into the room you could hear him say these words “Prince James requests a meeting with our great King Kazzu III.” “Let him in”
They came back out “You can meet him but be quick “ “Whatever you say,” he walked into the room with his head high and full of conversation. “Hello son, you requested to see me”
The king was an old man. He was just like any other dwarf, except more elegant and welcoming then the rest of the dwarf community. Legends said that was wise and smart, but a little bit stubborn. And he can’t stand rude behavior “Yes I am prince James of Nazarath; I have come to ask for alliance in the battle of between the Cyclopes and people of Yumazadra. The people of Yumazadra have been under the control of the Cyclopes’ army of year” “Yes, I have heard rumors about this battle, but why are you fighting in this battle?” asked the king.
James hesitated with his answer. He did want his father’s illness to be known as his only priority. “My father, the king of Nazarath is very ill and we need to defeat the Cyclopes to save him” replied James. The king thought about his response. “The army of Yumazadra and my men were brutally defeated in the first battle, I was hoping for an alliance between the three kingdoms, Nazarath, Yumazadra and your kingdom.”The dwarf king thought about the request. After a few moments he said, “I think that this is a battle worth fighting because it not only saves the kingdom of Yumazadra but also Nazarath. James was ecstatic. He had just begun to lose hope, but now they had a very real chance of winning. “Bring your men inside and we will talk about the arrangements such as soldiers and weapons,” the King Dwarf said. “Thank you very much, your highness,” James said.
James ran off happily. “He agreed to help us!” exclaimed James. The next day they all headed out to Yumazadra with King Kazzu III, his army of 400 and tons and tons of supplies. The journey back was hard with all of the men. They made it to Yumazadra in three days. Everyone was ecstatic to see that James’ men had successfully brought a Dwarf army with them. But everyone knew that they had to start preparing for war immediately. The next day there was a meeting. All the leaders of the war were present King Kazzu, the king of Yumazadra, James, Spencer, Victor, Vaughn, and Wesley. They need a plan. “When do we attack?” asked Wesley “”We should plan a surprise attack on them,” Victor suggested. “Good idea, boy,” said King Kazzu. Wesley smiled proudly. “We should consider dividing our soldiers,” said James. “Why don’t we have half of us attack first and the rest will follow as a second attack?” suggested Spencer. “But if we do that and we could lose the first half of our army almost immediately,” said Vaughn. “Not if we send in our strongest men first,” Spencer replied. “I agree, but we need to be sure that they are well equipped. We don’ want our men dying,” James replied. He remembered all the men that had died in their first attempt. He did not want that to happen again. The group decided that the surprise attack was the best idea. Over the next few days Victor, Vaughn, Spencer and James spent hours training the army. They taught them all how to use their guns and how to fight with swords. Soldier’s families came to support them. Then the day finally came. Everyone was anxious and scared. Vaughn, Victor and Wesley were going to be leading the first attack on the Cyclops’ army. Family members came to send off their son and husbands to war. They all knew that they may never see their warrior alive again. Vanessa came too. Before Victor left they spent a few moments together. “Let’s head off,” said Vaughn” We should get there before it gets too dark.”
Then in a huge army of 150 dwarfs and people ran to kill the Cyclops’ army. “Let’s hope that they are victorious,” said the King of Yumazadra. They waited for an hour. After an hour more, the second group led by James and Spencer would attack. They all sat around the round table and thought about attack plans. Jessica came and sat down next to her father across from James. She and James stole glances at each other and every time their eyes meet Jessica blushed. “Instead of blushing like a princess every time she looks at you, you should go over there and talk to her,” Spencer whispered to James. This made James blush even more. “One of our soldiers if coming this way! He is wounded, get the doctor!” yelled the watchman who was looking out from his spy glass. Everyone quickly came running to the main entrance. The man had a wounded arm. He had wrapped his arm in a cloth bandage. He looked beat up. “We need help immediately! The Cyclops saw us coming and they were ready for us! Many are wounded!” screamed the solider and in a second he fainted from the shock. “Quickly get this man to the hospital and get the army ready, we need to help our wounded soldiers. Everyone be ready to leave in 15 minutes. They all ran to get their supplies. Everyone quickly scrabbled to say goodbye to their families and reassure them that nothing was going to happen to them. As James was getting his gun Jessica walked over to him. She looked as if she had been crying. “Can you please make sure that my Wesley is okay?” Jessica said through tears. “That solider said that my men were wounded, and one of them could be my brother,” “Don’t worry; I’ll make sure he’s okay. Wesley is tough, I’m sure he is fine,” James reassured her. “Thank You,” she said, “also make sure to look after yourself,” Jessica said. And before she left, Jessica leaned over and gave James a kiss on the cheek; she blushed again then walked away towards her sister Lucy. “Let’s go,” Spencer said to James as he walked by.
Within a few minutes they reached the battlefield. They did not know what to expect but when they got there, they saw a real war. There were wounded men everywhere. The Cyclops saw them coming. “KILL THEM ALL!” The Cyclops screamed. “Spread out! Save our men first,” commanded Spencer. “James, you take your men and win this battle for us!”
Chapter Ten
James darted off towards the gates where they last saw the Cyclopes army. He guessed it could be a little easier than before, considering that the Ork army had been wiped out. Soon after he had been proved wrong yet again. There before James and his 200 man crew with him, were over 500 Cyclopes’’ waiting in an orderly fashioned line for James and his crew to strike. James stood there, thinking everything over, from how much ammunition they could use, to how he will stab the Cyclopes’ eye. He tried to send some kind of reassurance to his army, “Men, as you all see, there are many out there to battle, today we fight, we fight not only for our freedom, but for our kingdoms freedom, your families freedom, and the freedom every single one of us disserve.” He was definitely sending a strong message to the army now, “ We have 2 choices men, we can either fight to our death with every stroke of our sword and firing of our gun, or we could run, as cowards, and give up the freedom we deserve, so what do you say men, is it freedom or fate?”
The whole army shouted out as if they were all one voice, “FREEDOM, FREEDOM, and FREEDOM!!!”
The chant was heard from the Cyclopes army and they became confused. At that moment, the fearless group led by James raced towards the Cyclopes’. The Cyclops' did not know what to do, for they seemed to be over powered, but yet not over numbered. As the Cyclops’ noticed this they proceeded in booking it toward the Army. Both the Army’s running toward each other, when they got closer they came to a complete stop not but 50 yards from each other. Both Commanders for both armies gave the order to attack and off the battle went.
James went slowly to the outside of the battle where he could look over all of the war. His intensions were to find the Cyclops leader, tear him apart, take the eye and go home. This was not how it was going to go. James looked over everyone and saw no sign of the Cyclops king. He then ran back into battle field and saw Spencer in mid-air with a dark blue, big, hand around his neck. You could tell Spencer was defenseless. James sprinted over to his brother and grabbed a nearby spear and threw it right threw the Cyclopes’ ear and it came directly out the other. Blood squirted everywhere, all on Spencer and nearby battlers. James walked up to his brother and grabbed his hand. He pulled him up and they gave each other a nod and then went their separate ways. James was running around the battlefield in search for Wesley, for his sister was worried for him. After a long 30 minute search he found him. There was Wesley, laying on the dirt, rocky, ground. Motionless. It flushed happiness out of James. What was he going to tell Lucy, Her brother was killed in the war? Then at that moment, Wesley took a big gulp of air, opened his eyes and looked around. His hand was holding his ribs, where a Cyclops had bitten part of his flesh out. It was about an inch deep and surrounded with black and blue marks. He needed treatment right away. James flew him over his shoulder and ran out of the coliseum. As he reached the gate to exit, 3 orks surrounded him and Wesley. James didn’t know what to do, the Or’s had surrounded the 2 and were now circling them as if they were a bird, watching their pray. Right then one Ork charged at James. James threw Wesley to the side dodged the first Ork but then was blindsided with a vicious blow from a fellow Ork to the ribs. James was on his knees on the ground, fighting for air. At that moment, James realized that he had a pistol in his back pocket holder. James quickly pulled it out and let out the round on all three of the Or’s, and just as each bullet hit each Ork, they all fell down with a loud thug against the ground. James then hurried over to Wesley, for he was getting worse, you could tell by the color of his skin and the loss of consciousness he had from the time leaving the battlefield ‘til now. James yet again threw Wesley over his shoulder and ran to the Underground city. As he entered the city there was already a doctor at hand ready to take Wesley. “What happened and when did this incident occur?” questioned the Doctor James replied with no hesitation, “In the war zone, I don’t know, I just found him on the ground, motionless, and unconscious, and then he became conscious and I brought him here.” “Thank you,” the doctor said as he hurried Wesley back to a room. As James was leaving the town he ran into Lucy. Oh man was James ready for this one.
Lucy was in tears, “oh my god, my Wesley, is he ok? will he be fine? we all need him!” “Don’t worry, it’s only a flesh wound, it will be treated, he is in treatment right now actually. So please don’t worry, don’t put more stress on all of us.”
Lucy gave no more words but just sat there, crying.
James then raced back to the battlefield where he was greeted by Vaughn. “We are doing well, killed 300 plus right now and have only lost 2. Should we send the second bank of men sir?” questioned Vaughn. “No hold back on the men, there is no point to put more men in danger when we don’t need to.
James then noticed he should have called the second group of men. He went into the battle field and was astounded to see the Cyclopes had over a thousand men and they had surrounded everyone. The dwarfs were fatigue and could barely stand, let alone hold a sword, while the ‘Hidden Army’ was still up and ready with ammunition at hand. James could not believe the numbers they had on us. Then all of a sudden they heard a scream. It said, “Fire the blocks!”
At that moment, a big cloud of black blocks were flying through the air, heading straight for the army. The army was flabbergasted. They had no idea what to do. James called an order to kneel down and put your shields facing the sky. Everyone proceeded in doing so and each one of the blocks bounced off each shield and blew up. Inside each block were thousands of bee-bees. A couple hit James and he stumbled over. He then stood up, alarmed now, and told his men to re assemble their battle line. This gave James, Spencer, Vaughn, and Victor time to think what they wanted to do. When the line was assembled, James gave the order to gather for reinforcements. 10 minutes later, sure enough, there were 700 more men ready for battle. They bombarded the Cyclopes’ and took them out one by one. James came up behind one of the blue, ugly things and sliced their head off with his sword. Spencer was going on a rampage with his pistol shooting every single one in his path. When the dust cleared up, there lied 2 more of our men dead along with 1000 plus Cyclopes’ dead. This sent a shock to the other Cyclopes, hiding, waiting for an order. No one still has seen the Cyclops king. Then, all of a sudden, a huge 15 foot blue, muscular, and skinny Cyclopes came out of one of the four castles surrounding the arena. He was at the highest point to be seen in the area. He gave a loud roar that sent shocks through everyone’s body. Then all of a sudden, 100 Cyclopes’ came out of one castle and stormed the area. They were by far the biggest Cyclopes’ they have fought yet. James, along with everyone else hesitated to charge, but then A big yell from James to order a charge was heard. Everyone, as fatigue as they were, ran towards the group. Spencer shot a bullet at one, it did not face the animal, a second shot was fired at it, it stumbled a little, a 3rd, it was only a few feet from Spencer, a fourth and final shot brought the monstrous animal to the ground. Along with all the Cyclopes were 2 headed dogs for each person. On the bright side though, those dogs were small, and easy to kill. They were used mostly for distraction.
While the war was going on the Cyclops king was in his castle planning over what was going to happen. “God damnit, every one of our men from the first 2 wings were killed. How is this happening? We have had this kingdom for over 4 years and no one has challenged us. Then, with no warning, this! I just can’t believe it. If this wing doesn’t work we will have to use it!” “Sir, with all due respect, I still don’t think we have reached that point yet! Do you know the damage it causes?” one of the Kings servants exclaimed. “At this rate, we will most likely have to prepare it at least. I will keep it with me at all times. That way I know no one can have control of it.” “you sure?” questioned the servant, who you could tell was the least bit excited for this “Yes I am, bring the five ringed lightning sword!”
The sword was told to have been used by every Cyclopes King known. It has been used in every Historical changing war. The sword can bring death to any who touch it. And now it is in the hands of the King.
James and his army had just gotten done killing the final Cyclopes. They cheered and cheered. But then the gates all shut. James and his army scattered and try to find a way out. No. They are all trapped in their. A dark cloud was hovering over them. No it was a huge group of arrows. It was a second Arial attempt. James gave the same order to kneel down and lower your shields to face up. This time it didn’t work. The arrows pierced the shields and somehow blew each shield to smithereens. Now the men were stuck inside the Battlefield with no shields and low ammunition. James and everyone had to act fast, or their life’s could be taken. Chapter Eleven “What am I to do?” Asked James as he spoke with Spencer. He had no choices left. “Whatever you think is best,” answered Spencer as he sharpened his sword with a rock. He looked more concentrated on the sword than James’s issues. “How are we going to get out of this arena, we have dying men out here?” Asked James as he looked out at wounded men. “Negotiate. You were always good at that as a kid. The best debater there ever was,” said Spencer with a smile as he thought of the childhood memory. “Great idea Spencer, are you sure you are not to be King?” Said James in a joking mood, even though he was scared to death of the thought of talking to the Cyclops King. “Cyclops King, I request a meeting with you at once!” Boomed James speaking like a King. “You shall have your request, Prince of Nazarath, we shall meet at once!” Yelled the Cyclops King from the top of his castle.
A young Cyclops came running down to get James, Spencer, Vaughn, and Victor. The boy was big for his age a dark royal blue color and he was already bigger than James and outweighed him by five hundred pounds, James was scared. James pondered if this boy was the Cyclops King’s son or was he just another servant boy? Why did James care? Only the medicine from the Cyclops King’s eye could help his father live, but this idea did keep his mind off the fact that he was about to go talk to this HUGE ugly monster about the fate of his men. They past a sign that said “Entering Cyclops territory once entered you will probably be killed, enter at your own risk,” once they past the sign they felt much more uneasy than before, just the thought of dying made James cringe. “Enter!” Yelled the Cyclops King as the four of them approached the gate. “Welcome to my Palace of Wind, this is the Palace where death knocks on the front door, are you scared yet?” Asked the Cyclops King with a smirk and a dangerous gleam in his eye that warned of the future. “We need to negotiate some things Cyclops King!” Said James in a serious tone. “Come we shall sit down in the dining hall,” the Cyclops King showed them to the dining hall. “We have wounded men that need treatment immediately,” said James wasting no time. “Why do I care you all will just die eventually?” Exclaimed the Cyclops King. This angered James, and it showed on his face. He turned dark red with hatred, but then he quickly gained control over his emotions and stared at the Cyclops King’s eye, the thing he wanted most. What was stopping James from killing the Cyclops King and Stealing the eye and taking it away from this horrible place, he knew he could do it, and who cares about all the men that would die down there? He cared! If he did take the eye he would not make it out of there alive with it any way what was he thinking? His emotions still had the better of him. “At least let us go back to our camp and let us relax and heal the injured we will come back at seven o’clock in the morning, ready to fight with exactly the same amount of men as we have now,” negotiated James. The three others looked at James as if his head was growing leafs. They thought he was nuts, but James knew what he was doing, at least he hopped so. “Sounds reasonable, how will I know you return with exactly the same amount of people?” Asked the King. “Count them as we go out we will leave in two lines have two of your men count every person as we leave and add the two scores together at the end, does that make sense?” Answered James. “I guess, and then we would just count your men on the way back in right?” Asked the Cyclops King. “Yes, sir! Do we have a deal?” Asked James on the edge of his seat. “Yes, we have a deal!” The Cyclops roared as they shook hands, the Cyclops’s way bigger than James’s. “To bad that will never happen!” Yelled the Cyclops King as he shoved all four of them into a cell in the dining hall. He pushed them as if they were air. “We had a deal!” Yelled James. “I think a change of plans is in order!” Shouted the Cyclops King as he went off and laughed all the way out of the castle. “What are we going to do?” Asked James as he looked to his brother for advice. “We wait,” said Spencer, as they looked at him with a crazy look. “Are you nuts? He is going to kill everyone down there if we do not get out of here quickly!” Yelled James at his brother. “Well, then start thinking!” Exclaimed Spencer. “Right,” they all said in unison.
They walked around tapping each stone, jumping against each wall, and pulling at each brick. They had no luck, they were sure everyone was dead by then, but then they heard a stone break. FREEDOM! They were ecstatic, but they had to be quiet or else they guards would hear them and kill them instantly.
They took out the stone and then the next and then the next and so on and so on. In fifteen minutes they were free they stepped out and they were on top of a river, they had an excellent idea, flood the palaces. Each person got a castle, Wind was James’s, Fire was Spencer’s, Earth was Victor’s, and Water was Vaughn’s.
They filled the river with rocks and logs until they were blocked off completely and had only one direction to go, up. Since the Palaces were built on the river this was an easy was to get rid of the Cyclops population.
The four meet up and ran down the hill to safety. They were ready to watch their plan work its magic. Five seconds later they heard a rumble that sounded like an explosion. Pieces of the palaces went everywhere, along with dead Cyclops’s and the Cyclops King went flying, but he was still alive. After their successful plan they ran to the arena to check up on their army. They looked inside and all the soldiers were gone. “Where are our solders?! They have disappeared into thin air!” Yelled Victor. “They must have been taken away by the Cyclops’s,” answered James in an astonished tone of voice. “What are we going to do know? We have no men and we could be ambushed at any point I am worried!” Asked Spencer. “We must go back to camp, it is the only logical thing to do right now,” answered James still perplexed. Little did they know that someone was watching them closely preparing themselves to attack the unsuspecting four.
They walked back to base, and they were greeted by Jessica and a limping Wesley. “You’re okay!” Screamed Jessica crying as she ran towards James and gave him a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. She continued giving the other three a hug. “What is the matter guy, you must have defeated the Cyclops King if you are here?” Asked Jessica puzzled. “He stole all of our men and locked us up, we barely escaped with our lives,” exclaimed James depressed. “What do you mean he took your men?” Asked Wesley. “We blew up the Palaces and went back to retrieve our men and they were gone,” answered James. “How did you blow up the four big Palaces?” Asked Wesley. “They were built on a big river, we plugged up the holes and then, when the river over flowed, they exploded, just like a bomb blew up,” answered James. “Brilliant I would have never thought of that! You are a genius James! You all are I am glad to know you!” Congratulated Wesley really astounded. James felt horrible though, his men were probably dead and he would soon probably be joining them.
Lucy then walked in, “Don’t beat yourself up over what you cannot fix, James,” said Jessica in her sweet, innocent voice. It calmed down James instantly. Somehow, she always made him feel better, even in this situation. “Thanks, Jessica, you always make me feel better,” he said with affection. “You’re welcome!” Exclaimed Jessica happily.
She walked out of the room, and James was there, sitting, left to his own thoughts.
What was he to do? He could just give up, go home tell his dad he tried his hardest, but it wasn’t enough. That sounded like a good idea, James even started packing up. He then thought about his men, his brother and his friends, and Jessica and her kingdom. He could not just give up on all of them. He had to finish his quest! He still had no idea how he was going to do this, but he would not give up on everything he has gone through. He was ready to finish this battle, even if it took another five months, he would not give up, even if his father died, he-would-not-give-up! He was ready to meet up with his brother and his friends and come up with a plan. Chapter Twelve Everyone was very anxious to go raid the Highest Tower. “We need to get these Orks,” Wesley said in anger at the final meeting before the attack. “Ok, let’s go over the plan one more time,” James emphasized. He had been focused on the attack plan more than everyone else since he saw the love of his life having her life chocked out of her. “We will split up into four groups. Me, Spencer, Victor and Vaughn,” he said. Wesley jumped out of his chair. “What?!?! I don’t get to be in the war?!” Wesley exclaimed. “It is too dangerous, and we don’t want to lose any more men,” James explained. “My men were capured or killed by these stupid Orks, and you don’t think that I want to get some revenge??” Wesley roared. All of the men looked at each other hesitantly. Should they let the Prince of Nazarath risk his life to get some revenge? James was very worried. “Look, I know that you wouldn’t stay out of this war, and I thank you for defending your men. Now that is all I want to do,” Wesley pleaded to James. Everyone was silent. They all looked over at James and decided to let him make the decision. “Ok, you can join my group,” James decided. “Thank you James,” thanked Wesley. “Okay. Now I will lead my group to the north side with Wesley. Spence you go south, Victor go west and Vaughn your east. We will each have ten men in our groups. We don’t have lots of men who are willing to go on this dangerous expedition.” Over the next three days everyone very keen to train and get ready to raid the tower. No one wanted to lose more men. They all worked very hard to make sure that they could pull of this impossible mission. James went to visit Jessica every morning, and after training.
Finally the day came. Everyone was ready. James said goodbye to Jessica and headed off to find his men. To his surprise, he arrived to find all of his men in line as ready as the military. They all headed off to the big field where the tower was. And according to their plan, James and Wesley’s team went north. They stayed behind the trees until everyone was positioned at their stations. The tower was very tall and wide. There were about 10 to 15 orks standing around the round tall tower. According to a prisoner who barely escaped the tower with his life, the prisoners were held at the very top of the tower. Just as James was about to shout the order to attack, he heard a sound more orks coming down the path. He saw them guarding the Cyclops. The Cyclops walked up to the tower and headed inside with an evil grin on his face. James and Wesley looked at Vaughn and Victor through the bushes where they were hiding. They all had the same expression on their face and they all thought the same exact thing; defeating the Cyclops was not a part of their plan! But they all knew that this had to happen today. James motioned the others to move back to the hideout without being seen so that they could make another plan. James lead his team quietly back to the hideout. He found his men pacing around the cottage. “What are we going to do?” asked Vaughn in a panicked voice. “Yes what??” repeated his brother. “Calm down,” James said. “I know that the Cyclops wasn’t a part of our plan, but now we can finish this war once and for all!” “ James is right,” Wesley piped in. “We should first get our men out then attack the rest of the orks,” The whole army looked at each other in doubt. Would they be able to do this? Can they do this without losing all of their men? They were all doubtful but… they all knew that this is the only way to end this evil war that had affected their land for years. “Ok then, instead of all of us heading towards the prisoners, two groups will stay at the base and the middle of the tower to defend the others against any orks or the Cyclops,” Spencer planned. “We should attack at noon today,” James suggested. Everyone agreed to this plan.
When noon arrived everyone headed back to the forest through the trees. The saw the orks that had been guarding the castle and the ones who escorted the Cyclops. “Where is the Cyclops?” Wesley whispered. “I don’t know,” James whispered back worriedly. “Ok, let’s do this,” he signaled Vaughn, Victor and Spencer. “One, two…” he said as he numbered in the air so that his men could see. “…three. ATTACK!!” James screamed in his loudest war voice. Screaming men suited for war came running from each side of the tower. After James’ cry, they all looked towards the north, but they did not expect an army coming from all different sides. The orks were confused at first but they realized that is was a raid. They tried to quickly act fast but with James’ men surrounding them it was almost impossible for them to react fast enough. As James was rushing to the door of the tower he saw about seven orks lying dead on the ground and about five other slashing their swords at his army. Just as James and Wesley were through the doors of the tower, He saw one of the wounded orks laying on the ground with his leg cut off reaching in pain for his horn! Wesley ran as fast as he could to stop him, but he was too late, the horn was blown alerting the others inside. The horn rang for several seconds till Spencer cam up and chopped the hand of the ork holding the horn, it dropped to the ground immediately. The ork died in anguish. The orks inside had been warned. “Run inside quickly! Before they have the time to get prepared!” yelled Spencer to James “Go with Victor’s team inside! Vaughn and I will meet you guys inside!” James replied with a nod while he ran inside. “Victor! Let’s go!” he said. As he ran into he tower followed by Wesley he saw that the tower had a long case of winding stairs, and beside the stairs there were a few rooms. “We need to get to the prison room at the top,” Wesley whispered to the team as they were creping inside. They did not want to give themselves away more than they already had. “You three go further ahead with me so we can see what’s going on upstairs, everyone else stay a little further behind and follow us carefully. If you guys hear me give the order to fall back, you all do it,” James whispered to everyone. He picked three of the bravest men and started up the stairs. The stairs were long and rusty. They squeaked as they were walking.
“Be gentle as you walk, we don’t want them to know we are coming up right now,” whispered James behind his shoulder. He saw lots of rooms as he was going upstairs. He had commanded his soldiers not to look into the rooms and get distracted, but now he was every curious. He heard voices coming from one of the rooms. The door was slightly cracked open. He quietly pulled open the door enough so that he could see. He saw a normal room with furniture and lamps and beds. It looked like a place for the guards to stay. There he saw three orks passed out on the couch and tow more that were taking. “I heard that the warning whistle was blown and that we are being attacked,” grunted the big ork. “Ha, the Yumazadra don’t have army. I bet all it is, is a few men trying to get revenge,” the other said. James was relieved to hear that their element of surprise had not been taken from them. They only expected a few men, maybe five or ten, but they had 40 men! James tried to open the door a little more so that he could see, but the door squeaked a bit too loudly. One of the guards looked to the door. “Who is there??” he shouted. James gasped as he saw the giant ork look straight at him. He swiftly walked away from the door. As he ran up the stairs he heard the ork yell back “They are in the tower!” James signaled his men to run for the prison. He ran as fast as he could behind them. He finally came to the top. There was a big wooden door. It was cracked open. “I heard someone coming this way. They are in the castle, go warn the Cyclops king!” shouted an orks from behind a wall. James and his men hid. James knew what to do. He had to release the prisoners. He peaked inside again through the wooden gates, and later wishes that he hadn’t. There on the two sides of the wall were to long prison cells. They were from the door to the way back of the room. Inside was thousands of dying groaning men. They were in rags looking dreadful and in the greatest misery of their lives. It was the most horrible, dreadful, ghastly and horrific things he had ever seen in his life. It was immoral to do something like what James saw to do to his men. And there was the Cyclops in the middle of the room sitting in his throne with an evil smirk on his face. There were about ten or so orks surrounding him. They were teasing one of his men who looked as if they were starving him. They put food in front of him and they took it away laughing. The man looked in despair. James could not take any more. He barged into the room without thinking and said “ATTACK!” Everyone turned to look at James and his three men looking bravely at the Cyclops. Everyone looked around, and then the Cyclops started to laugh! His ork laughed clueless with him. They laughed and laughed and evil laugh. “You challenge me with three wimpy men at your side?!” laughed the Cyclops. He had thought, just like the other orks that he only brought a few men. “No, I challenge you with my army at my side!” James shouted “ATTACK!” the Cyclops looked at him with doubt, but within a few seconds an army of 40 men had coming running into the room attacking the orks. There were orks everywhere trying to defend themselves and the Cyclops. They were clearly out numbered. Five men, including Spencer were attacking one of the very viscous orks. He was the biggest one, and it looked as if he was the Cyclopes right hand man. The beast swung his huge arms around the air trying to defend himself. James was occupied trying to get the keys off of the orks and unlock the prisons. They came running out happy and hopeful. Some carried the weak. “Run down to the bottom! Vaughn’s team will lead you to Nazarath! GO Quickly!” James commanded the prisoners. They all thanked him as they ran down. Out of nowhere the Cyclops came running towards James with his five ringed lightning sword in one hand and his jagged axe shaped sword in the other hand. “I have you now!” he screamed. James tried to doge out of the way but he was too late, the Cyclops hit James with his sword right in the arm. When the Cyclops went to strike again, Spencer threw himself in front of James. Spencer got cut in the neck with the jagged sword. He started to bleed out very quickly. James saw his brother starting to die in front of him. James was furious. He took a sword from a dead ork lying beside him and jabbed the Cyclopes in the forehead. The Cyclops fell to the ground. The room went silent. “Wesley! Take Spencer to the Nazarath hospital now!” James cried, still holding the sword kneeling down to the Cyclops. Chapter Thirteen Everything went silent as everyone heard that the last cry of the cry of the Cyclops’ as he was stabbed in the forehead. James was holding down the struggling Cyclops, and finally, he stopped moving. He was dead. All of the Orks stopped the battle they were pursuing, and looked down at their fallen leader. They were shocked. “Retreat!” shouted a big Ork who seemed to be the leader. The army and the prisoners screamed in joy as they heard the Orks surrendering. The Orks dropped their weapons and ran towards the stairs to flee. “James! WE WON! WE WON! They all surrendered!” Victor said ecstatically as he came running up with his brother and Wesley. They ran up and jumped on each other and hugged. James looked around for his brother, but he saw no sign of him. ” Where is Spencer? Is he okay?” James quickly asked. To James relief Vaughn smiled, “He is fine. He is at the Yumazadra hospital, it was a big cut but he is going to be great,” He said. James was very relieved and happy at the same time. The men were uncontrollably crazy! They laughed as they complimented each other’s battle skills. As they walked down the stairs, they saw prisoners and warriors in a great happy war cry. Looking at everyone’s victorious faces was the greatest moment in James life. The victorious men had an amazing welcome at Yumazadra when they came back home with their wives and children. There were tears of joy everywhere.Came running up to James and they shared a passionate kiss. The kingdom of Yumazadra was finally safe at last. They were free to rule their own kingdom. The story of James and the hard challenging battle of Yumazadra was finally over. Before he left for Nazarath to save his father, he finally got up the courage to propose to Jessica. The engagement shocked to whole kingdom and the alliance of the kingdoms was happily greeted. Another engagement was also made was between Victor and his girl Vanessa. The new happy couples and James army brother, Spencer, Vaughn, Victor and Wesley set off to Nazarath a days after their wedding announcement. They were all given a wonderful farewell. Everyone came to say goodbye to their heroes. The king of Yumazadra had made a peace with the Ork. They would live in peace with a treaty to never over throw one another. The dwarfs had also made an alliance with Yumazadra. The kings and village people soon became from and allies. The dwarfs which were once an independent, lonely kind of people were now thriving and successful. They were all called heroes for saving Yumazadra The journey beck was rough but they all knew that they had to hurry to save the king. They met many of their friends as they made their journey back. The meet up with the centaurs Brook, Thor and the rest of their family. They passed the Town of Tempa and saw King Theodor on last time. They were all pleased to hear of their accomplishments in Yumazadra. The town that was the most happy to hear about their defeating the Orks was The Town of Arma. They had been taken over by the Orks. With the peace treaty that the Orks made with Yumazadra, they were too scared to keep on ruling the Town of Arma. The town was now also free. James and everyone got to see Lida, Killian, Kens, Jackson and Kathryn! They could not stop thanking James, Spencer, Victor and Vaughn for all they did. They were soon at Nazarath. As they entered the gated to Nazarath, the watchmen at the top of the entrance tower announced to the kingdom, “Prince James and Prince Spencer have arrived!” Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at the men. The villages were ecstatic! The Prince was home to save the King. They were all quickly rushed to the castle. As the brothers entered the king’s chamber. The Cyclops eye was given to the medicine man, so that he could make and antidote for the King. “Sons, you have returned!” the king whispered in pain weakly. He looked very ill lying in his bed. He was not what James had remembered when he had left to save his poor fathers life. “Have you brought the medicine? Have you brought the Cyclops’ Eye?” he eagerly asked. “Yes we have. It will be ready for you soon,” James said to his father as he held his arm standing by his bedside. Over the next few weeks the king became stronger and stronger. He was soon ready to rule again. The king was introduced to James finance and his soon to be brother-in-law, Wesley. Everything went back to normal in Nazarath. James and Jessica and Victor and Vanessa got married. And the alliance between Nazarath and Yumazadra became official. Everyone who came back to Nazarath, James, Spencer, Vaughn, Victor and Wesley, was considered a hero. The story of how the men of Nazarath not only saved their king, but freed a whole kingdom from an evil Cyclops was told throughout the world.
James responded quickly, “I disagree, dad wants me to be king, I know it, and he is doing this so that he knows I’m ready.”
“Mmhhmmmmm….”
“Watch I will prove you wrong, dad does care about me.” James exclaimed James and Spencer proceeded to find their dad.
“Son, I need you to do me something.”
“Yes dad, anything tells me!” James replied with no hesitation.
“I need you to go to Yumazandra, I need you to go to Yumazandra and get me some medicine so I can live.”
“Tell where and what and I am gone by tonight.” James quickly, responded.
Harry Squeezed out a few more words, “Its not just any medicine though son, the medicine is a rare and dangerous medicine to encounter, it is a medicine that is within a Cyclops’s eye. The only one around here is on the Northeast edge of the forest, about 800 miles.”
James said,
“OK Dad, I will go and get it, I will get it now for you, I won’t let you down.”
“My name is Joseph.”
“And why did you decide to walk to the middle of the stadium?”
I have others with me; it’s not going to only be me and Spencer Dad, There are others.”
His father’s eyes squinted open, “oh, oh my son, who are they?”
“They are the others that are going with me that one is Joseph.” He pointed to the red headed man, Joseph smiled at the king, “And these three.” James gave a little giggle, “These three are the three amigos.
As they got about 3 miles in, the 3 men had to make a remark, “This isn’t that bad, this whole thing will be a breeze we will be there and back in no time!”
“I wouldn’t judge a book by its cover, we are only 3 miles out of town, and there will be no dangers for another 10 or 15.
“We don’t really need guns, we can kill with our bare hands, but, these will be our backup weapons.”
James stared with fascination, “How did you manage to get your hands on these?”
“Well, I guess none of you guys knew I was a blacksmith.
If you people cannot agree than you might as well kiss
Dad goodbye!”
James felt bad.
“My village is just a few miles down the road if you need help,”
“I am James,” said James when he saw it was a little girl, “this is my brother Spencer, this is Joseph, and these are the clones. Lidia, how far is your village?”
“About five miles, have you seen an Effelork around here he is the only thing to protect you against the evil orks?” asked Lidia.
Chapter Three
After the battle with the orks, and the death of their brother, the two remaining clones kept to themselves.
Then one of the brothers said,
“Thank You for your sympathy.
You have been acting weird all morning,” James asked,
“I don’t know, but I have had this weird feeling that something is following us,” whispered Spencer, “I am not sure yet so I don’t want to scare everyone,” the brothers kept going with caution.
Our king is waiting for you.”
“Thank you Nicholas,” replied James.
Come to your home so that you can rest.” Brook said
“Thank you so much, we appreciated it,” Spencer replied.
Joseph spotted him
“Hi, what’s your name, boy?” Joseph asked.
Then Brook came by,
“I see you’ve meet my son, Tor,” Brook said
“Yes, he seems to be a very curious and intelligent boy,” Joseph replied.
So CALMLY, grab the tree branch to your left and slowly pull yourself up.”
Joseph looked to his left and as James had said, there was a huge tree and there were branches shooting off of it left and right and one branch just so happened to be right at Joseph’s reach.
As they all walked they were going at a pretty steady pace, then out of the blue, Spencer proceeded in asking Joseph a question, “So Joseph, do you have any siblings, or who is your dad, is he a carpenter like my uncle or what?”
Joseph hesitated, “well, I have no siblings!”
“What about your parents, what do they do?” questioned Spencer
Now you could tell Joseph was getting uncomfortable, “well, my father died 5 years ago; he also traveled to Yumazandra to get a Cyclops eye, and succeeded.
An awkward silence, “WOW, I’m sorry about your losses so you are all alone?”
“Yes, it has been hard keeping myself alive these past months, I have hardly any money, and when I do have money I have to use it for food only.”
Spencer just kept going with his questions, “why did you go on this journey with us then, if your father had already been perished doing the exact same thing?”
“we are low on food and if we want to survive, we need protein and something to fill us up so this will have to do, here, each of you carry a part of this gargoyles body, we will find a place to set up for the night and make a fire to eat it.”
Each of them grabbed a limb and was on their way.
The dwarf swooped his way down to flat ground and jumbled off, “hi, I’m Russell, he what’s your names?”
The dwarf was a little kid and should not be in this forest you could just tell by how it spoke, “Shouldn’t you be at your home, this place is dangerous are you trying to get yourself killed?” questioned Spencer.
“I was just wandering off swinging In the trees when I saw you guys, and NO I can be out here I am now 3 years old and now I’m old enough so HA you can’t tell me what to do na nanana na.”
The dwarf was now irritating Spencer, “Wait do you live in Jarzad?”
“Well DUH, all dwarfs live in Jarzad, why do you think they call it Jarzad, the city of the short?”
All of them chuckled and Spencer yet again responded, “Do you think you can lead me to the town, we don’t know which path to take and are lost, could you?”
“Well, I guess so, only if you can catch up with me!”
James was wondering why all the towns already knew they were coming, “Ya I guess so only if you walk instead of run!”
“Really really yay yay thanks but make it sound truthfully don’t just be like blah be like ya ya ya bla bla bla you know what I mean?’
They all looked at each other with a weird look, “Sure? Well which way is your village?”
“This way, follow me.”
They all proceeded towards the town. “You must be Russell’s mom!”
“Sure am, and why was my boy out in the forest where he should never be without supervision?” she stared at her son the whole time.
“Well, actually ma’am, your son here helped me and my companions to find this city, I was very proud of him for doing so, you have a great son ma’am!’
“Is that so, well son you better be home before dark, or you will be in trouble, I will let this one slide since you were helping these travelers to get here.’
“Good job dude, you did perfect, how did you learn to act so well?” Russell exclaimed.
“Well, it was easy I just talked.” they all chuckled
“I better get going; I still have to go play with my friend thanks though for all that.”
“You're welcome kid.”
They all then proceeded into the large town.
Chapter Five
As all of them walked into the large town there where many things to look at, the houses had different colors and sizes.
“But sir...”
“Are you deaf?!
“Hey, Russell, do you have any extra space to spare for us at your place?”
“Maybe, but my mom is in enough trouble as it is, but I do have a friend who runs the local barn, you could go there.
“Son is this true?”
“Yes, father,” confessed Russell. No one could believe that Russell’s dad was the squire.
“Wait, you are his father,” said Spencer in complete shock.
“Yes, is that an issue? Son was you taking them to the king’s barn?” Asked the squire.
“Ya, I was taking them to the barn I figured you could just sneak them past that oaf of a king, that was it, isn’t that easy for you,”
“Does your mother know you are here, Russell,” asked the squire.
“No, but I figured it would only take a minute or two,”
“Go home right now, I will talk to your mother later about this, as for you five, you can stay in our house just for the night, but in the mourning you must leave,”
“Yes, sir, thank you so much,” exclaimed Joseph.
“You rock dad!” exclaimed Russell.
“Thanks just stop running off and go home with these gentlemen to our house and stay there, got it?”
“Sure dad thanks.
“Hey Russell why are you in this dark alley all alone?”
“Why don’t ya ask Rolly,” Shouted Russell, he heard them coming laughing and talking.
“Russell! You are in sooooooooooo much trouble young man, your father told me everything that happened and you are grounded for, for….. a very long time upstairs with you!”
“Hey, mom did dad tell you about his promise, bye,” Russell said as he ran up the stairs.
“You are crazy!”
“It is too late now; they are coming just tonight, please?”
“Fine, but I am not feeding them!”
“Come on inside, just hurry!” yelled Lionel.
“Go out the window and North as north as you can get we shall hold them off, HURRY!”
He shoved them out the window once they hit the ground they went running as far as they could until they knew they were safe.
Chapter Six
"Run!" screamed James
“Get them!" ordered the Ork king.
The five kids were running straight for the forest. James ran and hid behind a big tall tree. He took out his pistol and aimed at one of the orks head. "Enjoy a little taste of my little friend!"
He fired.
Gasping for air he looked at James" Grab.......the......stick...and.....throw ....at...the Ork king."
James grabbed the stick. "Stay with me Joseph!"
Victor continued firing his shotgun, Vaughn continued throwing sharp rocks, and Spencer fired his pistol.
"James, even though I’m not going to be with you guys anymore....."
“Yes you are, just hanging in there Joseph, please!!
"Foolish children."
“Sir, should we continue following them?" asked an Ork.
“You James, did you ever think we would make it this far?" asked Victor
“To tell you the truth, not really." said James.
“James..........HELP."
“I’m here, hang in there Joseph."
“James, watch out.........dog.....gone...after....you........."
"What?"
"WAKE UP JAMES, WAKE UP!" screamed Joseph as he gripped on James shirt.
“Hey Spencer, how much time do we have left to bring back the medicine for dad?" asked James
“Only about 18 days left." replied Spencer.
Chapter Seven
The four boys were walking for about 5 hours straight without stopping and they were tired and weak.
Chapter Eight
All James, Victor, and Vaughn had been doing is going off to help the army prepare. James came up to Wesley and asked " Hey you alright?"
“Yea, why you askin youngster?" asked Wesley as he cleaned his sword.
“What you talking about me getting with her?" James asked angrily, “I haven't even met her!"
“Just watch kid, my little sister is a beautiful fish in the water that is waiting for the right person to catch her." Wesley said, “I’m the shark that will gobble who ever breaks her heart."
“She is the most beautiful young women I’ve ever seen." He said." Hahaha told ya boy!" Wesley said laughing, “just remember what I told you about me being the shark ok boy?"
James smiled “Ok Wesley."
"Hello James." she said politely
" Hi Jessica I’ve...." She came up to him and hugged him.
She a beauty."
" You planning to stay with her?" asked Spencer.
“Prince, your father has gotten better, but not that much."
“Well tell me more." James ordered.
He pointed his spear at him and yelled
“GET THEM AND KILL THEM!" The orks began to chase them, along with 1,000 other orks.
Wesley crouched with his 50 men and yelled loudly
"Ready, aim, FIRE!" BOOM! the sound of the rifles firing echoed in James ears as he watched about 20 orks fall dead.
"What happened?" asked James
"There....was....too many..of Cyclops’s army," Replied Wesley out of breath,” It looks like they were.....waiting for us."
James told Vaughn to order the retreat.
“RETREAT!" screamed Vaughn.
The men retreated and ran into the woods. They split apart at first and then regrouped as they went underground running. Soon the only me left were James, Vaughn, and two other warriors protecting them as they retreated. James stopped running and heard one of the Cyclops’s soldier scream:
"THROW THE FIRE BALLS!!!!"
James stared as he heard a few screams.
"What are the casualties?"
“100 men killed, and 40 injured." replied the warrior.
Chapter Nine
When they reached the kingdom they were exhausted.
So instead of insulting all of the 'little' people in this kingdom, you should LEAVE!"
"I am so sorry I mistaked you for a boy," Victor said as he tried not to laugh.
Spencer saw their look and replied,
“We are here to see him about the war between the Cyclopes’ army and the people of Yumazadra. It is very urgent.” The guards finally let them through. They were all taken to the throne room. The guard that they were escorted by said in a deep voice,
“The king only sees one man at a time,”
“I’ll go,” James replied. The guard showed the way to the king’s room.
“Wait here you must be announced” he walked into the room you could hear him say these words “Prince James requests a meeting with our great King Kazzu III.”
“Let him in”
They came back out “You can meet him but be quick “
“Whatever you say,” he walked into the room with his head high and full of conversation.
“Hello son, you requested to see me”
The king was an old man. He was just like any other dwarf, except more elegant and welcoming then the rest of the dwarf community. Legends said that was wise and smart, but a little bit stubborn. And he can’t stand rude behavior
“Yes I am prince James of Nazarath; I have come to ask for alliance in the battle of between the Cyclopes and people of Yumazadra. The people of Yumazadra have been under the control of the Cyclopes’ army of year”
“Yes, I have heard rumors about this battle, but why are you fighting in this battle?” asked the king.
“When do we attack?” asked Wesley
“”We should plan a surprise attack on them,” Victor suggested.
“That solider said that my men were wounded, and one of them could be my brother,”
“Don’t worry; I’ll make sure he’s okay.
The whole army shouted out as if they were all one voice,
“FREEDOM, FREEDOM, and FREEDOM!!!”
“What happened and when did this incident occur?” questioned the Doctor
James replied with no hesitation, “In the war zone, I don’t know, I just found him on the ground, motionless, and unconscious, and then he became conscious and I brought him here.”
“Thank you,” the doctor said as he hurried Wesley back to a room. As James was leaving the town he ran into Lucy. Oh man was James ready for this one.
Lucy was in tears, “oh my god, my Wesley, is he ok? will he be fine? we all need him!”
“Don’t worry, it’s only a flesh wound, it will be treated, he is in treatment right now actually.
If this wing doesn’t work we will have to use it!”
“Sir, with all due respect, I still don’t think we have reached that point yet! Do you know the damage it causes?” one of the Kings servants exclaimed.
“At this rate, we will most likely have to prepare it at least. I will keep it with me at all times. That way I know no one can have control of it.”
“you sure?” questioned the servant, who you could tell was the least bit excited for this
“Yes I am, bring the five ringed lightning sword!”
Chapter Eleven
“What am I to do?” Asked James as he spoke with Spencer.
Chapter Twelve
Everyone was very anxious to go raid the Highest Tower.
We don’t have lots of men who are willing to go on this dangerous expedition.”
Over the next three days everyone very keen to train and get ready to raid the tower.
“I know that the Cyclops wasn’t a part of our plan, but now we can finish this war once and for all!”
“ James is right,” Wesley piped in.
As he ran up the stairs he heard the ork yell back
“They are in the tower!” James signaled his men to run for the prison.
He barged into the room without thinking and said “ATTACK!”
Everyone turned to look at James and his three men looking bravely at the Cyclops.
Chapter Thirteen
Everything went silent as everyone heard that the last cry of the cry of the Cyclops’ as he was stabbed in the forehead.
There were tears of joy everywhere. Came running up to James and they shared a passionate kiss. The kingdom of Yumazadra was finally safe at last. They were free to rule their own kingdom.

The engagement shocked to whole kingdom and the alliance of the kingdoms was happily greeted. Another engagement was also made was between Victor and his girl Vanessa.
They were all called heroes for saving Yumazadra
The journey beck was rough but they all knew that they had to hurry to save the king.
